[ To suggest that this is from another time, you might put the specimen in an older looking vessel... ]

[ ...perhaps one that incorporates wood. ]

[ What alien qualities it has are up to you... ]

[ ...might be in the shape or number of eyes... ]

[ ...or something to do with the limbs... ]

[ ...or peculiarities in the formation of the head or chest or overall form of the body... ]

[ ...or something to do with the skin textures or colours... ]

[ Whatever the blend, though, it should be apparent that this was not a workable combination. ]

[ ...you know... ]

[ Make it cool. ]

*I foresee glowing tanks of water with dead aliens in an old lab*

Some records, books I never read anymore....oh hey, my alien fetus! I was wondering where I had left that....

I had the weirdest glitch in PS while sketching this....I had the background layer vanish right near the end of painting. The thumb was still visible in the layers pallet but the actual layer contained no pixels. Anyway I had to toss a new bg layer in and paint it again, so this one isn't as cool, but you get the idea...

Cheers

Nice stuff guys.

Doing a sphinx baby...cause you know, aliens built the pyramids and all that.

Much better than the last time I tried to draw a specimen in a jar for DSG, in December 2003 (http://venimarolka.com/dump/temp/120103-dsg-labspecimen.jpg).

Cheers B-man....It's a good thing that Nazi experiment didn't work out. Looks like those fists could teach german in a hurry.

I had to do another one that better fit the category.
I imagine this little guy being on display in the house of a character from HP Lovecraft books....

dailysketcher - I have been to gemany many times and some of
my friends live in münchen. I would never make a statement like "all germans are natzi" In fakt that would be just like saying all americans are bushs. :teeth: And in theese times I would'nt say there's much of a difference. People are people not crazy old politics.
Now get your sourcrout ass out of the sofa and do your DSG's :} Oh And welcome! Nice to have you on board!

Mystic T - welcome!
nice creature! And for crits: I think maybe you should ad something to make it feel like an OLD PRESERVED SPECIMEN right now it just someting in a tank. :) It looks kind of like concrete, it could be the future for all we know. Theres some bubbles in the tank, are they keeping it alive? Thats cruel.:}

Thanks B-MAN, Yeah I agree with you that it needs something to make it feel more like an old specimen. Maybe some cracks in the concrete or perhaps the water leaking out. I appreciate the crits.
