My 1st Drawing

Hi ,,this is the 1st drawing ive done since i was about 12 which was 13 yrs ago,,,for some reason i was inspired to start drawing again and decided to draw something special to me ,,my daughter,,it was drawn with 2b,hb,2h and 4h graphite pencils ,all critique welcome as i know there are flaws :teeth: thnks for looking

What a waste of time. Too bad you've neglected all that time when you could have been improving, you have a good eye and nice touch. Don't let it happen again, it would be a shame. That is my only critique.

Tizer – you’ve got your own life to live, and I’m sure the past thirteen years have been full of other things that have been fulfilling and wonderful for you, but by golly now that you are back to drawing I hope you keep it up, because your work is gorgeous, and I have a hard time believing that you don’t love doing it.

thankyou for the kind comments,,,it is appreciated! Seedling, it was a choice of mines whether to go on to learn "ART" after school or try to become a Professional footballer.Having successfully failed at doing either i am going to keep on drawing things that inspire me and hopefully, u never know maybe make some money out of it.More drawings to come when i get time to fit it in around work and other mundane necessities,,,:-)

PS Any advice you have about drawing,Styles etc is also much appreciated im willing to try anything

Pretty harsh, but I totally agree.
That's an excellent portrait. Think how good you could be if you had spent that 12 years drawing seriously.

Hi and apart from the drawing good choise on the range of pencil's. there is lovly form and nice shades. Good to see that your doing your skin tonnes dark
