Hello folks,

My name is Aaron Schultz and I'm currently a graduate student at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA. My focus is Organic modeling (Creatures/Characters/Maquettes).

I'm in a desperate search for a talented creature designer to collaborate with for my final Thesis project. The requirements of which are 4-5 finished models. The software I'll be utilizing will be Maya and Zbrush.

If you're itching for the chance to see your creations come alive in 3D and are looking for the creative freedom to create anything your imagination can come up with, then hopefully this is it! Full credit will be given. 3D images and rendered turntables will be posted on my website (overhaul coming soon). I will also post links to your website (if one is provided).

My only requirements are some orthographic drawings (Front, Side, Top, 3/4) to help in modeling and early layout. Only other requiremeint is keeping the creatures tied together via some sort of theme (could live in the same world/environment/game/film...etc.) Other than that, the door is wide open for whatever devilish, nightmarish creature you can come up with. These also don't have to be painted, but if time permitting, that would be great. I'm also going to be posing 2-3 characters at a time in "scenes". Also, if time permits and there's a chance to experiment with that, that too would be awesome.

Some inspirational artists and pieces I've seen that have come from the greats that really stood out as the style(s) I'm looking for:

Marko Djurdjevic
Simon Fellah
Brom
Aleski
Hawkprey

That's about it! There is a chance I may be able to get ahold of some funding for this. But being a grad student, chances are slim. If extra cash comes into the picture via freelance work, it will be dedicated to this project ;D

Thanks for your time and patience and hope to hear from some of you talented folks soon!

Sincerely,

Aaron Schultz
