the only crit i can give is the sky still has your gradation lines in it, also maybe the shadow under him should be as dark as the cast (middle) shadow on his shell. but the colors for the sky and sand and everything are really nice!and i really like that you chose a more attypical subject matter. no waves today?

Thanks. Yeah, I wanted to leave this one looking a little less polished than my past few paintings - but I am sort of a fan of interesting subject matter, even though the opposite tends to be in style on these forums.

I didn't want the whitecaps/speculars from the waves distracting the viewer from the subject, so I left the water as it is.

I plan to fix up the cast shadow and add/revise some other things, as suggested on other forums. I'll be sure to post the result here.

I like the subject matter....the only crit I have is the shell looks as if it was round instead of the shape they have where it ends kind of in a point...I don't know if this makes any sense....ahhhh, what the hell do I know....I have never even been on a beach!!!, don't listen to me.

its nize and bright..but the city looks like its behind the crab not on top of it..other then that i think its clean and nize to look at
