Changing hair color on PS

I was experimenting with a piece of art on here and just changed it up a bit for fun. I changed the eye shape and eye color and lip color. My question, though, is how do you change the hair color? I'm trying to make it black for an asian-like appearance.

Would help if you showed the picture ;)

I would just paint on a multiply layer over top of what you already have, erase or mask out areas that aren't hair. There are lots of other methods but this is what works best for me :)
