Greetings everyone,
I've been perusing this site for almost a year now, but only recently have I registered.
A little history on myself:
I went to Art School about 11 years ago. I only went for a year and then I got caught up in the IT industry (they were giving EVERYONE a job back then:). Long story short; I never got back into art as a profession and have only sporadically kept a sketchbook.
Anyway, my cousin turned me onto this site and I've been simply amazed at the quality of the art posted here. It's been really inspirational. So through this inspiration, I've decided to pick up art again. Not really to get a job or anything, but to get back to expressing myself like I used to.

So here are a few of my images. I'm up for any criticisms or critiques. Please be lenient though, I haven't really drawn (other than doodles) for quite a long time. So it may take a few months to knock off the rust:)

Enjoy.
BTW, these took me a few hours each.

U have some reall nice smart pieces there dude, the 1st one is reall solid and sensual looking. u really capture that warm effect nicely, the second is noice but theres something not quite there with it, i think the jawline looks a little bit too manly, and a slight softer shape wud suit it more.

But yeah u definitely got a skill there man, hope u stick around and show us more stuff! :D

First one has proportionissues with the head and the shoulder/armlenght. Second has issues with the small shoulder. Would be stronger if you showed more of her, including her upperbody and arm for bodylanguage emphasis.

You know how to handle PS and your values seem ok enough. Now go back to practicing the proportions and anatomy and you'll do fine.

Thanks for the crits!
I'm excited to get back into it all, so I've been thinking of going to an Atelier near where I live to squeeze in some life drawing classes.
Hopefully, I can get back to where I was in school soon enough.

Thanks again guys.

like Cookiedough said you got the ps, so again practice your anatomy perspective and so on, if you have a idea of something try to fine some reference pictures.

And you got that eye catch, dont give up on it.
