Hi, since I got painter x, i was wondering how I can make an artists oils brush variant act like some of my brushes in PS do, that is, to change size according to the pressure i apply with the wacom tablet... is this possible to do?
this is very frustrating problem i don´t know how to sort out, and it basically kills my workflow in painter. please help!

You need to use the brush editor. I used the camel hair brush in oils to make mine...see this thread for some settings. What I got (I compared the brush strokes using PS CS2 and painter 8) was something that paints like photoshop but blends...not exactically PS but really nice to paint with...I've stopped using the 2b pencil and started using this:

Also if you have an intuos 3 tablet..map the touch strip to change the brush size...the key is [ and ].

Yes. Simply go to Window->Brush Controls->Size, and make sure that the Expression is Pressure. Then, set the Min Size to something less than 100%, and the size of your brush should now change in accordance to the pressure.
