Alright here it goes, This guy's been around for a while but here is his latest rendition. What can I do to improve and what not? Critique the fish outta me!

What is he? Bobby, Billy, and Phyllis up there as they have affectionately been called, occured in my 8th grade year somewhere between science and art... I don't remember much of middle school so it shall remain a mystery. Originally he was going to be a some random sewer dwelling creature that ate people... now he's... well... a thingy...

Edit: I felt I should explain the medium... Mechanical Pencil of Bright White Printer/Fax paper... my scanner ate it... but oh well.

i think in the face could be more light.. and the strands could go over the legs and the belly.. the tounge had to be darker from the inside

I'm wondering where exactly the light source is coming from, its left leg has light on it like it's coming from the side, yet that would make the left side of its body bright and not have the belly so shadowy...I also agree about the tounge shading and the head being brighter...You could also give it some more texture

I don't see any real bone or muscle structure anywhere behind the head (i.e. in the legs, torso). I can see the light source would come from the back, but as was stated the tongue would also be in shadow. Keep at it! And consider at least a shadow beneath him or fitting his whole body onto a page.
