Hello there, I'll start by introducing myself; my name is Dave Thorne and I'm a student studying video production at university.
Recently I've become involved as a producer for a project run by students at my university helping a local charity based on a very run down and deprived housing estate called 'Micklefield' in the same town.
The charity 'Micklefield Matters' is trying to keep the estate's library open (after the county council decided to pull the plug on all the libraries in deprived areas across the county) and with sufficient funding build a new and better library for the residents. In order to keep the library open the 'Micklefield Matters' have brought us in to make a punchy quite cool short promotional film to support their bid for National Lottery funding.
One of the Segments of the film we're currently editing covers what the new library will look like if the charity get the funding they need to build and run it. We did have a student working on a 3D fly-through animation but to our horror yesterday we found out that for the past 2 months of excuses when he's supposedly been working on it in fact he hasn't done anything, needless to say he is no longer on the project.
The deadline for the sending of the bid and the film is in 16 days and we need the film done in 10 days, everything else is ready done but we now URGENTLY need an artist/s (the more the merrier!) to draw some impressions of what the new library will look like based on our "primitive" pictures, dimensions and photo's of the existing site- we have tried to do our own but we're really not artists.
We are open to all submissions and will be willing depending on the number give some money although we cannot offer much as the charity's budget is already stretched just keeping the current library running. We will give full credit to anyone who helps us out with this.
Remember we are not after masterpieces so if your not that confident about your drawing don't worry we are open to all the help we can get at this point.
