Concept Artists working in NYC...

Are there any? I get the feeling that concept art is a profession almost exclusively found in California. Is there work for an artist in other areas (specifically New York/New Jersey)?

Check with your local illustrators guild to find like minded people.

Also check with your local film union/animation union to get listings of production companies in your area. If they don't have then ask them where to look further.

Also remember to check out all the commercial production house (that make TV commercials) for storyboarding jobs and so on.

Usually TV commercial direcetors and producers have feature film ambitions.
