Hello, I am here to ask some questions about you guys...

First of all, I am an 17yo student who is about to graduate in Decemberween. I plan to go to either the Art Institute of Phoenix, Arizona or The AI of Las Vegas. Here is where you come on.

I already read the topic about alternative stuff of the AI, but you talk about the big cities, I want to know if somebody has a little input on this two smaller places or if you know of somewhere in the Arizona Area thats better for teaching art.

In Fact, I plan to visit both places later this year, to see the Campus, student life and everything else. but your opinions and/or life experiences could help me a little more...

Thank Youuuuuuuu!

For the love of god man dont go to the Art Institute. I recently went to a graduation exibition and was appalled by the level of general ineptitude. None of these kids are ready to get a real job in the games industry, it was depressing. If you are willing to spend that kind of time and money on a school make it worth it. A great two year program is the Vancouver Film School in BC, they have a one year classical animation course which really teaches you how to draw and animate, and then take their CG course after. Look at a lot of schools, I really think AI is about as low as it gets for that price.

I went to the AI in Seattle for one year, then left because it was so useless. After the rest of my friends graduated, not one of them got a job within a year. (And this was back in 95 when the economy was in a lot better shape).
