First off, looks great. Nice soft muscles!
But: Two things make him look feminine, and if that is what you are going for, great, but here they are, His eyes are large, both the opening of the lid and the pupils. second the pose of his left arm, particularly the bent back wrist. Though I know manga has a lot of feminine male characters, maybe he has a little of this influence?

Anyway your shading technique is great.

The design looks like a mage who specailizes in water spells. I have no idea what is happening with the marble, and think maybe the design would be stronger without it.
But these are just my opinions. Couple more, his stance looks very solid, I dig the boots.

Solid rendering and attention to detail. The anatomy is pretty good as well. The pose looks a bit awkward to me with the locked right leg. The right legs seems a bit long, too, considering the perspective. Just adding a little bend to that leg would add a bit more menace and purpose to the pose.

The main thing i see wrong with it is the total lack of expression. Id really spice it up to have some sort of emotion.:)

Cassandra,

the main Problem in the figures anatomy is that you messed up the legs. If you want the character to stand right, without falling you have to switch right leg to the back and the left leg to the front. That way, the character will stand more solid. The hand holding the perl is very nice, the face lacks some expression indeed.

Thanks to all for the comments! They are very helpful.

As all of you have said, thereīs something wrong with the legs, I already knew it but I wanted more opinions. Well, Iīll try to fix it.

Fungi, I used sand brown paper, and then changed the hue at Photoshop, but Iīve seen blue paper as well. I donīt know if Canson papers are sold in England, but itīs not so difficult to find blue paper.

Dustin, you are right, he looks feminine. I think I wanted him to be that way. Manga influence? May be, I like manga :D

Marko, you little pencil monster, I think youīre right about the legs, and the lack of expression too. If heīs in the middle of a combat, his face does not show enough rage. Iīll change it.

Thanks again!
