I have this weakness for painting pinups. I hope to improve my depiction of the human figure, while having these erotic fantasies. I like to concentrate all focus on the female figure, placing her against bright backgrounds, taking care in the distribution of detail and dressing her in erotic/exotic clothing. Nothing new of course; pinup art has always been like this. I think I paint these more to satisfy myself than to make some specific statement. I hope that along the way you will enjoy it, too. I'm trying to get better at it, so any criticism is welcome.

im fascinated with this.. an excellent rendering. but her head seems too big for her face. but the lighting doesnt fully make sense, as in im not sure what direction the main light is coming from. it would appear off-screen to the right.. but its very bright on her arm and not as bright on her right leg or her face. likewise the shadows on her suit would be darker as it approaches her back side, until it meets with the pink light coming from up behind her?? its just a bit unclear.

Nice work, but I noticed an odd thing.

A lot of artists aren't very good at drawing feet, and do their best to hide them. They are often the worst rendered part of a drawing. In your drawing, the feet are the best rendered part. They are quite a bit more realistic than the rest of the figure. If you could bring the rest up to that level this would be really good.

i think she needs more contour around the knees. interesting concept, somber mood.
