So I was wondering if there are any more, like me, on these forums that have an interest in Warham, mer and Wh40k images, and the creation of images/paintings/sketches thereof.

In my limited time to paint, I find myself doodling 40k stuff almost exclusively (as shown in my recent updates in my sketchbook), and so I was wondering if there are others like me on here.

So...anyone else?
Got any stuff to show?

I tend not to draw WH or HW40k stuff (esp not WH40k)
since the sccenarios and characters are very limited

however they got a whole lot of cool ideas in their fluff and geting inspired is always cool
I'd say WH40k influenced me a lot

I dissagree with infinit on the character side, you actually got a very broad variation within the WH and WH40K world with all the different species etc. totally worked out (ok 40k less, because that are just people with big guns :P )

I think warhammer influenced my art a lot in a way, though I try to not paint to much of there stuff exclusively and try to find a nice mix of everything that inspires me :)

nontheless it gave me the love to draw scenes as dark as possible with people smashing eachothers head lol

I'm a huge 40k fan.Love the books and amazing artwork they produce. I especialy love the whole history, there is so much depth in the whole universe.

I am actually working on a SP piece right now.

Nice to see some interestt in any case.
@Infinit: Well, it can be static or dynamic, depending on how you see it of course. I find myself doing loads of doodles linked to it, mainly-perhaps- because my favourite artist is Wayne England, and he did a heap f art for the two lines.
But in the end, I think it is individual.

@Haldor: I agree, it can be very inspiring, hence I find myself doing alot of i.

@Lone Wolf: Thanks for that Link! I posted a comment there, also, check out your PM's.

The 40k universe has unlimited potential, but GW mostly produces action scenes. Whick sometimes tend to get repetive. But the amount history in the background allows so much to draw on for art ideas.

Never really got into the Warhammer/40K universe. Not for lack of interest, but it's just one only has so many hobbies/interests they can have, you know?

I am, however, fascinated by Warhammer/40K related artworks. The dark themes themselves are attracting, but beyond that in every piece I've seen I can always sense there's something more than what the image is telling me.

It's like others already said, there's immense depth to it all. Even though I don't know any of the story, that depth has always shined through in every painting I've seen about it.

I have some old EPIC/40K stuff (mostly eldar, but a bit of everything really). My intrest was killed as I grew older and the new editions and style change came.

I love Paul Bonner's old orks.
