This is an offer to build your repertoire. I am an author of a long running online FanFiction in the process of updating and refreshing the novels I began in 1999. I currently am on the look-out for artist(s) with the ability to sketch/draw simplistic yet recognizable comic/line art renderings of the characters which are based on real life people. The ability to read a scene description and create a simplistic line art sketch and capture the likeness of the character(s) in the scene is a MUST. Since this is fanfiction I do not make any money on this and can not afford to pay compensation. This is just an offer to expand your repertoire in this medium.
The Fiction:
The stories are of an alternative nature (considered gay/bi romantic/slash) featuring a once popular band from the 1990's. Six novels spanning the past eight years develop over the background of natural disasters, secret government scientific experiments, vampires and life as a celebrity under scrutiny of the public eye.
Knowledge of the stories is not required as reference photography of the band members will be provided as well as a brief snip of storyline for the art desired. No coloration is required. If you wish to ink your work that is fine, if not I have the ability to handle that. Again, being able to capture the identity of the real life people in comic form is a must.
These stories do have graphic scenes and the artist may be asked to render some of these scenes but not all will be 'explicit.'
Again, no monetary gain is garnered from these stories and they will not be mass published. All I can offer is credit and linkage to any site or blog the artist chooses. I am aware that this type of work is something a great deal of you charge for, however in most cases (this being the exception) money is being made by someone. In this instance this is just an authors wish to flesh out his characters a little bit more for the readers.
