Mp3 player broke?

alright so i let a friend of mine listen to my mp3 player, while he was, another friend pushed him down and joking-ly wrestled him. But didnt realize my mp3 player was on the ground. To put it simple, he pulled on the earphones and now one of them dosent work. Its ok ill buy new ones. But here is another problem, today i downloaded new songs. and added them to my mp3 player, but one i played one of the new songs, it froze. So my question is is it fixable? or would i need to buy a new one.

Its a Sansa 4 GB player.

All I could think of is that they knocked the hard drive out of place. Take it to Best Buy or something, its not worth voiding the warranty to find out; at least if they do it, it's covered.
