View Full Version : Odd Pressure Sensitivity Issue

I have a Wacom tablet, and for previous outings in Adobe Photoshop (2 days ago even), the pressure sensitivity worked wonders. The brush strokes worked fine. Recently when I try to use my tablet in Photoshop 7, it doesn't use the sensitivity. I've checked the brush settings, and I have it set to respond to pressure sensitivity, but it doesn't work. It's not the tablet either because the sensitivity works fine in Open Canvas.

Anyone have any idea what I've (accidentally) done somehow, and/or how to fix it?

Thanks a lot. :]

You may have had a driver failure. This happens with me quite often.

The first thing to see if the pen erases when you tilt it. If not, it's a driver issue. You may have to reinstall the driver or, if you have WinNT/XP you can go into your services and see if restarting the service helps.

http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/services.htm (trust me services is GREAT, it's better than having to reboot all the time - which if services doesn't work then try a reboot as the last resort).

IT sometimes reverts to an HID device instead of recognized Wacom's drivers.

You can also try downloading another driver from Wacom's site and seeing if that helps too.

I do not know however if you're using a MAC and that can be a different can of worms.

Hope that helps!

The restarting the services thing worked WONDERS. It worked right away. Thank you so much! I didn't know it could do that. This is great to know for the future. Thanks a lot.
