The background just looks messy.. it doesn't look like the sky, that's for sure. You should just have a gradient for the background. Maybe add a couple of clouds. Look at some photos... it's not cheating. The colours are also overpowering. The magnifying glass looks bent.

seems like the light source seems odd... if u were able to use a magnifying glass, the sun would be at a direct angle, making strong shadows. No matter how hard i stare, the picture always seems blurry. good work keep postin, we could learn a lot from the pro's on here!
