Nearly a decade ago, my wife and I went to Italy on vacation. I'd discovered Mannerism through Cellini in my middle teens. I rediscovered and fell in love with that peculiar hiccup of Art all over again as we meandered through Florence. The first piece I did upon our return was Dance of O. Slavish to photo reference, I put it aside and sculpted whatever came into my head. This is my Mannerist sculpture. I cast four and painted each differently. I'd always planned to return to this design but, as they say, the best laid plans. She remains one of my personal favorites.

i really like the movement the exaggeration (sp) of the anatomy.
*sigh* i gots a ways to go yet.
was this cast all in one piece?
what did you use to texture teh skin?

From head to toe, she's about fifteen inches. She was cast in five sections. I used Krylon primer as opposed to Citadel because the droplet distirubtion is a little heavier and gives a fine texture under the paint.

Very nice. What are you using to make the fine skin texture? Is it from the primer?
Thanks for sharing. Oh by the way, your bronze sculpt is beautiful as well.

Beautiful... I love it all (except the metal rod stuck in her butt). What did you use to texture the skin?

Yeah, this was always one of my favorites until you posted "La Belle Et La Bete", which is
one of the greatest sculpts EVER. Even so, this one is still absolutely amazing and fun.

Absolutely stunning. As with everyone here, I am also a lover of you work. In fact I have some on my shelf looking at me.... its kinda creepin me out.
It is rare to see a sculpture that so tastefully incorporates sodomy. It brings to mind the great new zealandian proverb " sodomy, you might think it odd of me, that I enjoy the act of sodomy."

Did you make a kit out of this or is it a one of a kind? would you make a kit of it? I love your commercial work But I'd love to have some of your personal concept sculpture, like this one and the demon chick with the big oger. Great stuff.

OMG !! This is probably the best sculpture I have EVER seen. Even Illidan sculpture, that could be seen recently somewhere in the net, wasn't as... beautiful as this piece is (though it was also brilliant).
I don't know what words should I use to express myself! So pure, clean, that form, shapes and pose. Painting job just kicks a**. It has also kind of unique style.
Man, adopt me!
Absolutely fantastic!
Where can I see some of your other works?
