Hmm, yeah here's lame wip from me. So as the title says I'm having composition problems (all coming from the fact i don't know jack about composition (just enough to know it sucks right now))
Plenty of things need fixing like the table on the left and the samurai guys at the door need to be fixed, along with a clear light source.

I was kinda hoping my first post would be a finished piece but well I feel need the help now, so rip it apart guys. :bashful:

Hmm, I think right now your picture seems to be split into two halves--like the bottom half is disconnected from the top half. The guy in the foreground is not overlapping anything in the background at all, except that one guy's foot is just touching the top of his head in an awkward way.
Also, the two main interesting points (the guys in the door and the guy at the table) are lined up vertically. I would try breaking it up for more interest.

Okay, this may be too sketchy to be useful, but here's an attempt at a composition fix. To give the bounty hunters some menace I would try backlighting them from the door. And I've added a table lamp to give you a secondary lightsource for your hero's face.

honestly?
try to score easy points. right now i think you're frustrated in how cluttered your drawing looks and its mainly because you're not helping yourself out in the simplest of points.
straight lines!
make sure things add up. like the tables should all kind of be on the same line since they are the same height and shape in space
once you begin to line things up horizontally i think you'll find the perspective and 3d aspect of the drawing easier.
you'll have to forgive the pic here i was at work trying to duck from a boss and had no wacom tablet
well couldnt paste the image i will try to later or i can email you it

thanks for the help guys, I tried modifying it a bit yesterday evening and here's what happened.
@Nathan:Thanks for the sketch it definitely reads a lot better your way (the only problem is that the pic has to be square)
@Emily G: I get what you're saying but I don't know how to fix it, it's even more of a problem in my current version.
@Heat:here you go, things are lined up a little better now (still not right I know, but I'll get a better version up tomorrow)
