These are some of my better sketches from today. No purpose to any of them other than practice and fun, but I like them, and I hope you do as well.

I really like the weight and feel of your human figures, they definitely have a lively presence to them thanks to your great line work and weight..
Can I ask what you're doing nowadays?
And what kind of styles or artists influenced you in this style?
Great stuff man.. Keep on posting..
I'd like to post more, but 3d school is kicking my ass..
Cheers

Uuummm... hi everyone. Thanks for great welcome. I'm glad you like the pictures. I wasn't expecting such a turnout so soon. Let's see here...
Kambei: right now I'm just getting ready to go back to school. I spent the last year trying to get a job, but that didn't go as well as I'd hoped. As to what my influences were/are, well... I hate to say this... but the first was really anime, which I can't stand anymore. After that I spent about 4 years trying to cleanse the anime from my style. Then was Frazetta, then Iain McCaig (go figure), and Craig Mullins. Then there's about a hundred others out there as well.
cycrincy: Yes, practice practice practice. Drawing all the time, whenever you have time.
fungi: I don't about the BEST anatomy, cause there are some sic ass artists around here, but thanks anyway, it keeps me drawing.
And the rest: Thanks for the compliments! I'll post more soon.

Here's a color doodle (1 hour) inspired by the DSG|EU 142 topic. I did a sketch for that, but it wasn't quite what I had in mind, and this is a little closer.

great image. it's dark, evil. its really good.
the thing i dont like is the weapon. The deawing is fine but a character like that wouldn't be holding a little axe. I'll scared of him/her/it breaking the damn thing before killing some-one. Other than that its great.

heh, I totally see what you mean about the axe. I did the pic at about midnight, so I was a little tired, and what looked good then, doesn't look as good now ;p. I'll have to fiiiiix that. thanks Speed.
**Okay, I updated the pic. I made the axe bigger. I didn't want to go too big cause I have issues with overly large weapons in pictures that are meant to be a LITTLE more realistic in appearance or feeling.
Also, if anyone is interested you can see a higher res part of the pic here: http://www.savagesunarts.com/Post/Stalker2.html I will warn you though, it's a 92k d/l.

Hey dude that looks good. I guess your right that having massive weapons is a bit unrealistic to say the least.
Guess I'll stop drawing the weapons that are bigger than the person stuff.
Any case keep the good stuff coming!!

Yeah, here's another sketch. The inspiration is a muddled mix of a Lukais sketch, and a friend of mine. Not too interesting, really just a 45 minute sketch, playing around in boredom, but I liked the results, so I'm sharing with yall. Done in Painter 7, and that's a rap.
