Haven't posted stuff here in ages, but here I go again... hope I don't get ownd too badly... anywayzzz.
Sketched a spidey the other day with the proportions I like to do and the suit style from the movies. Took me ages to color workin on it on and off, once I had the finished version of the normal suit I just couldn'tn resist making a black version to see what it would look like, kinda liked it... hope you do too. :dur:

His feet aren't quite in perspective, and some things don't sem to wrap around quite enough.

i think the grayscale version shows that the piece could use some more contrast. you could punch it up with some darker darks and lighter lights in certain areas.

I really like the black one!
But as mentioned before, his feet seem like they are a little large (oxymoron?)

The huge hands bug me more than the huge feet.

Love the Black and White suit, especially the spidey symbol. It really pops out. Keep it up bro!

Maybe for a spidey i'd prefer a more emphasized curve for the back. For the rest is beautiful, great details.

Thanx for the replies everyone, seems the proportions I do are a bit too weird for most people... makes me rethink for the 3d version a bit, but then again if I did the movie actor's proportions it would just be another photoreal boring piece...
Justin Oaksford - thanx for the feet comment, kinda noticed that too near the end, which parts do you see not wrapping around?
Haxxxor - thanx, guess the big feet come from two of my main influences like Joe Mad and Humberto Ramos. :)
evidence - I see what you mean, it shows mostly on the webbing where some parts get a bit flattened by lack of contrast.
Bradh898 - Thanx!
Looped_Warrior - Thanx, yup "Patas Grandes" as they'd say in spanish.
Elwell - So weird how they don't seem so big to me until someone points it out sometimes...
Kilbourne - Thanx, the bigger the fingers the better the grip on the walls, maybe? ok fine they're sausages.... hmmm hot dogs. :P
STANIforth - Thanx dude, we gotta do those Mr. J colabs soon before we forgets.
mikeb87 - Thanx, yeah the pose is a bit... well there is not much of a pose, it was very much a lighting and rendering exercise... I'd like to try a posed one with a city behind him next time.
Ramon Contini - Thanx dude, I'll sure as hell keep pushing meself, same as everyone. :)

I like this work, so much nice details and a nice, solid body pose. I don't think that the proportions of hands and foot are wrong, this is just a style, and the "wurstel fingers" (forgive me) are cool, remember me the gloves of a diver suit.
Just a pair of crits: the right foot (at the left of artwork) seems on a different floor plane than other foot and the right bicep seems too lateral. The left hand seem a little strange, perhaps needs more muscle around the thumb.
The, uhm, package (how can I say in english the "genital protuberance"? http://www.ivanovich.it/avatars/emoticons/Rosso.gif) seems a little flat...how Petey can make MJ happy whit this?http://www.ivanovich.it/avatars/emoticons/Smile2.gif
Finally, i like so much the dark suit, but now seems a desaturate version of the other. Try to use other colors for background and lights.
Anyway, cool piece.

Yes i have to admit that the feet are out of proportion a little bit, but other than that the black and white one is awsome!

Hey Hector,
Sweet stuff! I like seeing it finished now :P
I really dig the detail, the only thing is that it looks more like a character sheet, mainly because the pose is very "stiff"... hehe, sounds familiar somehow :)
Cheers!

AndyStone - Yaaaay, someone that reads the title and text of the post! thanx for your comments. :)
ICH - Thanx for the style comments. Weird that the foot looks more odd in one image than in the other, they're the exact same image with color corrections on it...
Kishan.VL - Thanx.
Gilles - HAHAH! yous gots me there, it is a boring "Mr. Stiff" pose, specially for a spidey drawing, got no defense on that, but I do plan to make a more full blown spidey illustration with proper McFarlane pose and crazy NYC background... that'd be fun!

Hec i'm sorry, it's about my really bad english. I was say that the floor on the right foot stay seems on a different inlination than the plane on the left foot stay.
