Heya,

One of my first posts..I'm still having trouble getting used to this site >.>

Just looking for a place to store all my sketches and track my progress over time. I'm more than happy to get helpful pointers, so if you see something off or have any suggestions, don't be a stranger. Much thanks =D

Down below are a couple of experiments from today [referenced from a coffee table book on China]. I'm used to working only on white paper, and rarely with values, so this feels like a big step for me.

cool start to the SB man.the studies look good ,the hatching is good and tight but I think the lines are too boldand are making the faces looks wrinkly and all.and I think this wrinkly effect is also bwcause of the contrast between the tone of the paper and hte liens, he white are , I guess too bright .still It shows that you know your contours and forms well. Posr more dude.
And Btw welcome to the forums.

Thank ya for the warm welcome ^__^

I'm not really a dude, but it's all good =P

The white gel pens are really the only thing I can use right now since I take my sketchbooks with me wherever I go, the gel pens rub off the least of anything else I've used.

I'll be looking out for new art supplies none-the-less =P
