Hey everybody, I've been a long time anonymous guest and I thought I'd finally register and see what people thought of what I do.

I'm more of a cartoon-oriented artist so my posts'll probably be quite a bit different than the other artwork that you see on these boards.

For my first post, here's a vampire chick I did in Illustrator and Flash. Looking forward to hearing what you all think.

Plus, if you have a spare minute, feel free to check out my website to see a pretty decent collection of my recent work at http://www.geocities.com/pbk_pbk

Hey Age,
I really like your stuff...it has a lot of character and expression to it. I went to your website and I must say that I really like your backgrounds...they look really awesome. I can definitely see those in a major cartoon or video games or something professional. They look great...keep those posts coming...they look great.

Age, i belong to the ones who are very interested in cartoony images.

Your style is neat, though i couldn't see your site...temporary unavailable...

Nice image, but i don't like her head...somehow i think it doesn't match to the rest...but some people think the same about me :)

Hey age this is a quick question...I am just starting to learn to use illustrator...how are you able to get such customized shapes in illustrator...like what you put on her legs to simulate the light, etc... What tools do you use to achieve that? Thanks.

I believe I now fixed the issue that made the site temporarily unavailable, it had to do with silly things like hourly transfer limits. I don't think it should happen again unless it get a huge amount of simultaneous traffic.

mindcandyman - as for the technique that I use, I take the final pencil sketch and convert it to vectors using a combination of Flash and Streamline. I do this insted of trying to modify shapes to preserve the cel-look. As for the highlights, a new layer on top with gradients from yellow to transparent does the trick.

If you'd like to know more, lemme know... I'm trying to make as much sense as I can but I don't know if it's working

Really Good work! I REALLY appreciate good vector-illustration. I personally prefer Freehand for Vector-Illustration but thatīs more of a habit because Iīve been working with it since 3.0. I think Illustrator is the better tool for this kind of illustration due to the better possibilities of transparency.

One of the best things of this type of illustration ist that you can blow it up to 10 m height without losing details ;)

I just recently made my first post on this forum entitled "My first post..." and my first image was also a vampire chick (just on the other side of the art spectrum). Funny Huh?

I really enjoyed your image- I particularly liked the work with the hair.

Thanks for the great replies guys.

I gotta agree with ya Flipse, the coolest thing about Vectors is the "Blowing it up to Poster Size" possibility... I've actually got a friend who works for an engineering place and I've been dying to convince him to take me to his office after-hours so I can try printing out a piece on their huge ass indusrial Plotter. (Prints pages 3 or 4 feet wide)

Horus- That is kinda funny, i had viewed your post but hadn't realized this till now. Also, thanks, the hair is one of my favorite parts of this image too.
