ok here i was just trying to paint an xbox controller. the whole sepia type color scheme was unintentional...

here i was just trying to achieve a plain type landscape. i think more contrast would've made this look better.

here i was using a reference picture. i was just trying to get it to look okay. i think it would look better if it were cleaner and crisper and the highlights were better on the black. im still not sure how to get highlights on black to look right.

these are painted on 3 1/2x5 watercolor sketchbook. ill be working on a 9x12 from now on.

crits please?

You're doing great! You have a good mix of subjects that are from direct observation, from reference photos, and from your imagination. Don't hesitate to really load up the pigment on the brush. Keep up the good work!

you're looking good! just keep hammering those observational skills, work from life a lot and soon you'll find your skills growing faster than you can say *insert work that can be said fast*. If you need some inspiration look up anders zorn and especially john singer sargent, both excellent watercolorists. Good luck!
