Hey everyone :blahblah: ,
I've been a long time lurker, and I thought I would finally sign up and post some of my photos.
These were/are all taken for a college landscape photography project, and they range from about three years, with the earliest at the start, leading onto my later images which are my favourites :)
Please give comments and criticism, as I still consider myself a beginner to photography and would love to know how to improve.
OK, here we go, be aware this thread will be quite image heavy!
I'll start with a seasonal design, this was taken at the same tree throughout the year, and although disappointed the dull autumn shot, I feel it shows a good seasonal change, which is what I intended
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Seasons/spring-summer.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Seasons/autumn-winter.jpg
These are some of my earlier photographs, really me just getting into photography, experimenting with my camera, composition, etc.

3.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/BeachPossBackaltFIN.jpg
This was intended as an experimentation with a guiding device.

6.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/sunsetbFIN.jpg
A very simple shot, and one of my earliest, although I do like the birds!

9.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/lookoutbaltFIN.jpg
I particularly like the sense of scale in this shot.
10.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/rocksouttoseabFIN.jpg
Another experimentation with a guiding device, although it has the appearance of not going anywhere :(
11.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/sunovercliffsaltFIN.jpg
A simple sunset shot taken in Cornwall (where most of my shots come from!) Altered in Photoshop to make it a bit more attractive.

14.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/waterfallfinalb.jpg
I like the angle at which this shot was taken. I got very wet taking it but I think it was worth it.
15.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Early/waterscenebalt2.jpg
The colours in this shot were altered in Photoshop to make the general appearance warmer.

Thanks for the comments so far guys.
Here comes the next batch.
I started to add titles to many of these that relate to the symbolism I feel many of them have, and started experimenting with more interesting composition and other techniques.
16.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/Ascension.jpg
A shot I am particularly pleased with, especially with the interesting composition and quite surreal appearance of the clouds.
17.

18.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/FermatainMysticAired.jpg
Another of my favourites, contrast has been altered to give the clouds a surreal and dream-like appearance. I like the composition in this shot too.

20.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/TheForestSpeaks.jpg
I love nature shots :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/GreenOasisFIN.jpg
22.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/HopeAlternative.jpg
This was taken at a place in Cornwall, which had recently seen a major flood, and the cross is used to symbolise hope and rebirth.
23.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/lookthroughrocksbaltFIN.jpg
Experimentation with framing devices.
24.

26.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/PathtoTranquilitybwfin.jpg
The stairs are used to symbolise a 'path to tranquility' (hence the name!) :)
27.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/SatoriAwakeningalt1sepFIN.jpg
I was not happy with the original shot, so I altered it in Photoshop and added a sepia tone, which I feel adds more to the mystical quality.
28.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/PathtoTranquilitybwfin.jpg
The waves in this shot are used to symbolise our time and thoughts washing away. The name is telling us to rise above are negative thoughts.
29.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/waterswirlb3.jpg
30.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Middle/bwmood1.jpg
Some moody black and white photographs, and I am pleased with the first for a reason I am not sure of! Can anyone help me think of a name for this one?

And now to the most recent batch.
These ones focus more on the use of colour to set moods and emotions. These are my favourite photographs yet and I feel they contribute all my knowledge I have picked up during my assignment.
32.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/Isolationedit.jpg
The log symbolises isolation and solitude in this piece, and creates a sense of balance.
33.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/Destinyalt.jpg
The jetty in this shot leads the viewer's eyes through the image, and it used to symbolise our destiny and true meaning.
34.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/DestinyBluealt.jpg
35.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/Solitude.jpg
36.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/Solitudealt.jpg
37.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/Enchantment.jpg
Another of my favourite shots, this one taken with my new digital SLR, and filters have also been put into play. I am particularly pleased with the colours which have been altered in Photoshop, as well as the reflections.
38.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/letmetellyouastory.jpg
Acting as an introduction to my 'Wandering Soul' series, this one portrays father and son figures in the distance.
39.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/letmetellyouastorybwed.jpg
Alternate versions of the original shot.
40.

41.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/ThalinRPG/CA/Late/LOMFinFIN.jpg
These swans were swimming perfectly in unison, and I knew I couldn't miss the opportunity!
So there we have it. Hope you enjoyed them. I will post the Wandering Soul series soon.

And I suppose i've been 'on and off' photography for a few years, but only (as in last last year or so) really got into it. I'm glad you like my work :)

Some of these are just breath taking. I'm not a huge fan of nature photos, but these, man, just great.
I really like the colors you are showing and the silhouete play.
Keep posting dude. Maybe, now that the series are over try some other themes than nature? I dunno, just a suggestion. :D
Thumbs up and show more!

I've been trying my hand at some black and white photography. These are just some experimental shots really, nothing special. I think they look too dark to be honest, but they do have that moody quality -

I like the tones in the first three B/W's. I'm pretty sure you'll experiment more with composition when you redo them or more B/W's though. ;)
49 works really well as a set.

I really like your photos! I would personally really like to get into nature photography. My camera sucks though so when I take pictures of water all of the colors come flying off of it and make it look all rainbowy. It stinks. Hopefully though I'll soon be getting a new camera that won't do that to me.
Your photos are beautiful though. I especially like the water/river ones. :]

My lecturers hate my older landscape stuff. They say, especially the later ones, that they are too 'nice' and too much like a simple holiday snap. I disagree, but anyway, here's some later stuff. Following orders and breaking my boundaries - EXPERIMENTING!...
Looking here at the darker side of nature

The overexposure in #64 helps add to the mood, could be toned down a little though.
