here's the final version of the wip i had posted the other day.
i post too many sketches, and not enough illustrations. it's a pleasure putting more concentration on an image.

awesome sprathicus!!! i really like the way the clouds and the upper part of the structure come to a point. it's as if they are mirroring each other. the bright white from the water is nice as well.
great job!!

Great picture. Round thing.
But I really like the water, especially the one right to the small entrance-bridge.
Ahh, eye candy for sure.

I like your additions very much. The chopper and ship make it much livelier. Cool lights in the structure too. Great work!

first of all i wanted to thank everyone of you for your kind comments. i'm a lousy late weirdo, always answering too late.
it's a complete satisfaction when these feedback appear, also by their amount. it's a true motivation for personnal art, believe me.
concerning this artist who grabbed inspiration from this piece. (thanx jnorish for the link) i'm always honored to see that someone may find interesting to retranslate my concepts design into 3d. however, it might have been a good idea, once again, to write a little mail about it.
anyway, that's the way it goes
update ----- also: he might as well have emailed me, without seeing me responding. i do what i can to answer to every mail, but coming from the mapping world, it's plain impossible.
many thanx
