Hello, my name is Anna. This is the first time I've posted my own art on this site. I really want to improve, so I figured the critique center would be the first place to go.

This image I had already completed- but I know it could be improved- so I want my faults to be pointed out and even suggestions on what could make it look even better. Please and thank you

Hello Anna. Nice illustration you have here. Compositionally, it’s simple but good. If you would like to practice with compositions, try cropping it down a few different ways and see what you get. The color palette is pleasing – you’ve established a nice mood with the warm colors and that glowy light. Anatomy-wise, my only complaint is her left foot seems to have had its toes stolen. Other than that, she and her pet are both convincing enough. Good hand, good toes on the other foot, and good face – those are the three most communicative parts of the body, and you’ve used them well. I love her facial expression – she’s planning something and she is pleased with it. The head of the beastie is bothersome in its position – it should be in front of her in space, but if you hold your hand over their bodies, they seem perfectly side-by-side. I’m not sure how that could be fixed.
Good work, post some more. Oh, and PM a mod if you would like the key to the ladies’ room. (It’s seekrit.)

(Oooo I like seekrits)
I'll keep the cropping in mind- I used to make thumbnails for composition but sometimes I just...don't. I need to pick up that habit again. Use more so the rule of thirds- etc etc.
see what you mean though- with the 3d space. I never noticed that I made them seem more as though they were side by side. Maybe I should have worked with some more over lap in that area and fixed up how the light hit him and maybe have her shadow cast on him or something? It could also be just the angle of the head
I think I might have pushed it a tad too much
