anyone else watching it? im enjoying every episode i see and find myself counting the days till the next one. only issue would be that some of the gore scenes (namely Claire regenerating) seem a bit bad in the aspects that the props dont always look the greatest or at least as goos as they could.

so far my favorite chars are hiro nakamura and peter paterelli (tho i admit in the begging he was a bit of a bitch) still really curious as to what mr. bennet is up to in the scheme of things.

favorite series so far although some episodes can get boring. I always like it when they focus on Peter and Hiro's exploits.

Heroes is great. Hiro Nakamura is a great character, but I like Syler. Just the way the actor portrays the character is brilliant. Along with the Syler character, The one who can paint the future, as well as the lady with the split personality, and the mind reader (haha. sorry, can't remember their names) are great too.

nikki sanders = super stregth (only when the jessica part of her comes out)

ted = can make things nuclear

the new girl from the new episode = can download and send any kind of radio waves (like email and such)

mr. bennets employee = erashes peoples minds

sylar = im not sure how his power works. something to do with fixing things, which he does by killing people and getting thier powers....

charlie the waitress= she rembers anything she shes or hears. kinda like a human ask jeevees or wikipedia. bummed she was killed of as well

Yeah, I'm a convert from lost... I used to really count the days till lost, and then they lost me to Heroes!!! Har har!

Anyways, yeah, how cool was Stan Lee's cameo at the end there, as the bus driver... Wonder if he will keep showing up or if that was a one time thing.
It would be great if they made him some bad ass or something.

Although the show is quite predictable, it is still the best stuff on TV. The cinematography is really good, and the story progression with mohender as the narrator is really nicely done... I LIKE!!!

I'm under the impression that his power is similar to Peter's power, in that he absorbs the power of others, but instead of absorbing other's power by simply coming into contact with them he has to actually murder them, and it has something to do with the brain, which is why he removes the top of their head.

I thought sylar ate their brains in order go take their power? I like nikki just because she goes insane and lays the ass beat down. I also like peter, I think he could be the most powerful hero because he can posses all powers.

When Sylar first meets Chandra Suresh six months prior to the series' starting point, he describes having intuitive aptitude, the ability of visual disection.(knowing how things work by looking at them). This ability to see and manipulate patterns within complex systems made him an expert watchmaker, as he could discern any problems with any given watch almost instantly. Upon meeting Brian Davis and learning of his telekinetic abilities, he was able to see the genetic difference in Davis. He promised to "fix" what Davis perceived as a problem and killed him

After killing Davis, Sylar acquired his telekinetic powers. Bennet mentions that Sylar's powers are a product of using foreign DNA to alter his own, but the mechanism behind this change remains unknown in the television series. According to an interview with Heroes writer Bryan Fuller it was originally intended that, "[Sylar] kills people and eats their brains and [...] digests their powers," but this wasn't stated in the series because it seemed "silly" and zombie-like.[3] Bennet confirms that Sylar has gained multiple powers by mixing other people's DNA with his own.

So when Peter and Sylar first came into contact at Claire's high school, did Peter gain all of Sylar's powers, including Sylars main ability. Monday will be interesting indeed.

peter got sylars telkenisis. but thats not sylars main power so im guessing petter can get any power he sees sylar do. or they may make it more of an even playing filed by saying that peter can only have the one on the basis that in order for peter to use his powers he remembers the person he met who had them, seeing as that peter only shows signs of telekenisis, im assuming that due to his "first impression" of sylar throwing objects at him, thats all he gets.

Seriously. Think about it. When he kills, he always cut's off the top head of his victims. That's how he gained his first power, telkenisis. He had to murder the guy (can't remember his name. I think it was Ben... something). I'm under the impression that he really didn't have any powers to begin with, so he started to steal other peoples power. Which is why it's so important for Clair to stay alive. If Sylar gets to Clair, then well he will be able to rejuvenate at will.

Peter Patrelli, imo is the most powerful & dangerous character out of them all. His ability to absorb powers like a sponge and then recall them at will is great. He is now learning how to control them. Really dangerous if the guy gets pissed off.

Good show. Waiting to see what happens next since Clair and her dad are now split.

I do see a face off between Sylar and Peter coming, but much later. Also read that the director is going to wait to bring all of the heroes together - or pretty much, have some sort of "Justice League" thing going-. It's going to happen, but much, much later.

I don't think that all of them will be killed. I'm willing to bet Hiro & Anto (unless they take him out), Matt Portman, and Claire.

Peter, I'm still debating. Especially after seeing the last episode. In any case, hope they bring him back in Season 2. I think the first season will go up to a few more episodes. Maybe up to 23 or so.


Baddest character I've seen is the lady who can distort reality. Now that's bad ass.

Linderman dosen't have powers. He's just a power person. Business wise. He has money and a bit of political pull (if you will). Though how does he know about a lot of the heroes is the question that's on my mind.

... but my wife loves it. The main reason I haven't watched is I just can't invest in another show, Lost and Battlestar is about as much TV that I can handle in one week.

the difference between sylar and peter is... when peter gains an ability he grows stronger when sylar takes abilitys he grows weaker and weaker until evuntally there will be nothing left of him... like when you see him take that ladys power with the super hearing; he starts getting very bad headaches.

i've seen the last episode of first season.... i swear I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THE SCENE WHERE PETER FIGHTS PAINTER... so good; you see accautly how strong and out of control he can get.... he walks in and says to the painter; your jealous arnt you blah blah... then out of nowhere peter say YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ME and its full echoed and his voice was strong enough to throw the painter from one side of the room to the other.... sooo good...

dont remember the finger knives part. his powerr is to see how things work (and with mutants its how their power works by studing thier brain then eating it)

and he doesnt get weaker. the hearing lady says that he had bad migraines for a while when she first started haring better. since slyar just stole her power hes getting headaches.

i read that the second season isnt a continueation of the first. its gonna be a for the most part an all new cast and story.

ooh same here, i started watching because of the link with lost - same producers or something? correct me if im wrong
its really good, but i dont think it has the same mystery as lost, because you can to some extent see whats going to happen with the plot line

somethign i just realized


spoilers up ahead



theirs a trailer of the coming 5 episodes where they show that linderman has a power. the power is to heal those around him. in the trailer he heals a dead looking rose.

in the comics there are 2 chars from the vietnam war. dallas and austin. dallas turns out to be linderman, austin is nathan and peters dad. linderman then talks to papa petreli and says they should work together to save the world (this is back when nathan is still a baby.

this leads me to believe that the man we see as running the company that mr bennet works for is papa petreli.

i believe that in the show all the heros are connected. also i think that linderman does what he does to get the heroes to develope in their ability so he can use them to save the world. i think this because look at nikki and dl. linderman has nikki running around killing people to get jessica rto come out. then once shes out he has her do things so bad that nikki is forced to take control. in the process micah is better at his power to help his fam (the money) and DL escapes prison with his power and uses it to fight jessica.

with the petrelis, papa petreli "dies" right when his sons where going to back stab him. papa was also seen giving baby claire to mr bennet so he could take care of her and thus allowing nathan the chance to get in the position in poloitcis linderman wanted him to be at. with a baby and girlfriend taht wouldnt have been possible. papa petreli would have known that meredith (claires mom) would have acted they way she did so sending mr bennet after her was the way to make for nathans chance at politics and also to get meredith the chance to get her powers going.

claude was used and discarded by the company so he would be at a place where peter would find him and get him from him.

now this means that either linderman can see how to pull the strings of everyone around him to the pioint where he knows whats gonna happen, or that he has a mutant who can see the future or the past to help mold the future. this could be hiro in the future.

also read that ando is going to have a power. tho im not sure if it was a lie or not. tho i did read that a sercurity gaurd of lindermans is a hero and will be shown soon, and ando is a sercutiry guard, i can see it being him. most of the chars are heroes and the heroes lifes being as intertwined as they are i cant see ando as ju8st being brought along with no purpose.

Man i love this show, after season 1 and 2, season 3 of lost seems to have went downhill, hereos seems to progress more and remain constantly compelling, but sometimes i dislike the many twists and turns because it can be difficult to follow at times.

I hope Christopher eccleston becomes a reg, he is a good actor and his sort of yoda char is interesting.

umm... lost is kicking some serious ass right now. you should check it out if your not already.

anyways i just realized something.

everyone gets up in arms about petter not using all the powers he has. saying that he has all the powers of sylar now. but if you remember when primatec had sylar the only power they were able to detect in his dna was telekenisis. so that in mind having peter only being able to use his telekenisis makes sense. i mean if peter would have to remember sylar to use the powers, how could he control the differnt powers without bringing out a messed up concoction of all of his powers.

since the powers seem to work in 2 ways, either voluntary (like hiro and nathan) or involuntary (like claire and charlie) i think he has to witness the voluntary peeps in action, and just met the others. petter wasnt able to fly, or hadnt yet till his bro flew up and caught him, yet when he was dead he was able to regen. since the first thing he saw slyar do, or infact the only thing he say him do was telekenisis makes sense tahts all peter got from him.

also that not seeing eden use the voice would mean he would have no reason to think of her to use it himself. the voice change he does when angry must be simular to sylars, either just a byproduct of so much power or an anger thing.

god daym episode 19 was brilliant. I dunno about anyone else, but I think Malcom Mcdowell is fantastic! I love the irony of him being a "bad guy" yet a healer.
I also keep forgetting each episode is around 50 mins every single time, so when the "to be continued" text comes up, its like being slapped round the face!

i was really pissed when future Nathan turned out to be sylar. i was so hoping he would have been dead by then.

One thing that confused me is according to future Hiro (keeping in mind that he exists on a separate time line in which Claire wasn't saved) Sylar was still alive because he could heal on account of stealing Claire's power. So future Hiro went back and told Peter to save her, blah blah you know the rest. So how come Sylar wasn't dead in the future? As soon as Peter saved her that would have altered the time line so that when Hiro slashed him, he died. Or was he still alive because it was in fact a different time line? If that was the case, and nobody saved her then how was Claire still alive in the future? I don't think should could heal after Sylar's attack. It seems that the writers are off somewhere with the line of events. Oh, and future Hiro gets shot and I guess dies, so future Sylar has access to Hiro's brain. Even though he was fighting with Peter, if future Sylar was to get Hiro's brain then he could possibly go back and stop Hiro from killing past Sylar. Maybe Im thinking too much though.

As for the rest of the season, I think Linderman is going to use Micah to rig the electronic voting machines. I think Jessica/Nikki is going to find out, get pissed, go after Linderman and get killed. I think Hiro killing Sylar is going to take more than one episode because it isnt supposed to happen until the day of the election/explosion and that obviously isn't going to be the next episode.

So anyway, going to stop babbling now, cant wait for the rest!

i think that hiro still remembers "his" time line but everything around him changes. so maybe sylar is alive cause he didnt stab him in the time line where claire is alive.

one thing i didnt like about the last episode was sylar. he looked the same as before with goofy hair. everyone else had a different look to them while sylar still looks like the sylar we know and hate

also about nikki's powers.

i was confused about her for a while. was her sister really in her, was her duel personality a part of her power that she had to deal with.

but ive come to the conclusion that her alter ego jessica is just a manifestation that came out like a catalyst for her power of super strength. kinda like issac and his heroine. nikki noticing shes stronger thinks of it as a another person in her life who was stronger then her, that being her sis who protected her from her dad. the multi personality isnt part of her power, is just the only way her mind could deal with this drastic change.

the box set is coming out a few weeks after the finale. in the box set theres going to be a few episodes (dont know the length) that are "what happens after the finale" that are character specific.

aslo theres going to be a spinoff show called heroes origins which is going to take place shortly after the finale. its 8 episodes and each is a brand new character. after the episode you get to vote on if you like the character or not. the favorite hero gets a full time cast position for season 2.

im not too sure when seas 2 airs. on the nbc website is says heroes in the fall lineup, just not sure if its a rerun or the new season.

the second season is about the families in heroes. so theres going to be more episodes like company man about the pasts of the peterilis, hiro nakumura and his dad and kensei, the sanders (niki dl and micah) and i think mat parkmen. maybe more, maybe less.

also its gonnna be more of a global even next time. not just new york.
