I'd say don't be afraid to go a bit more bold with the colours. They all seem a bit too pale, and that makes it difficult to distinguish one part from another.

Yes, both are too washed out, EXCEPT the shell and the outcropping, which now become more the focus of attention than the figures that are blending into the background. Knock down those elements and bring up your figures, that will help your compositions a lot more. I like them tho, they are very cute.

Which pose are you refering to? I looked and the only one that looked like it could be that pose was possibly the girl with spots at the top, the second one over on the left side. I won't say I wasn't inspired by the movie, because that's what made me want to draw it, but I don't see the resemblance that you see,
I did draw it while I was watching the movie, so yeah, that could be what happened... Dang it, now you make me feel like i need to change the pose completely, the deadline is tonight... how am I supposed to finish it. :/

I like the centaur pic, but what's with her hands? Mostly your colors are to bland, like has already been said. I don't know how you could fix that, but that's whats wrong. Looking at your new sketchbook I think you could do better.

New sketchbook? I chose to have no hands, I was trying something new, it's more stylized. But yeah, the mermaid has no hands too, so I guess next time, I will go with hands and not with stubs... lol

Pfft my bad, I looked at Oats sig in the post above me, that was his sketchbook. Boy is my face red:bashful: . The stubs kind of work because of the hoofs, it just made me question whether you did it on purpose or not.
