Christ on a crutch this is hard! All I want is a second monitor. I don't care if I have to buy a dual output card, or a secondary card, but I don't want to spend more than 40 bucks and I dont want to take a performance hit over my existing card.

I can't find any cheap PCI (NOT PCI-Express) cards. WTF? I can't find any cheap AGP dual output cards better than my two year old Radeon. WTF?

Anybody else had this problem, finding a reasonably cheap way to add a second monitor to an older system?

Well, I bought an ATI Rage Xl for 15 bucks (shipped) and after installing the drivers and changing desktop settings it works! Woohoo! This is so freakin' cool. :) Nice having all those palettes out of the way. The only downside is that my old Compaq 15" display is showing just how crappy and dim my MagView 19" monitor really is.
