Still playing with digital papercuts.

Hey, you gotta find the humor in the heartbreak, right? Hope you all have a good one - may those in love be surrounded by its stench, and the rest of us bask in the lonely scent of roses and citrus :davi:

Love it love it love it (and that doesn't mean it stinks)!
I'm not sure about the rear arm and leg being that much darker.
Maybe a regular arrowhead and a broken heart tattoo on her butt?
The faux cut paper is very convincing.

Steph, we do love you, yes we do! beautimious! i love the cut-paper look, did some real ones myself once, you've hit the mark dead on.

though, being an old fart, and an expert, i can't help but note that her little poot is in no way an SBD. too demure. and what's a little methane between friends, anyway?

Delightful Steph!
I like Elwell's idea of having a regular arrowhead, that way the scales can be weighed, and each recipient either gets the Dutch Oven, or Love Struck. You get one end or the other! haha
Happy Valentine's Day! *hugs*

Oh yeah, and I think your watermarks should be done puffypaint style, hehe

Elwell: Thanks so much hon. I agree about the darkened limbs - once again I have fallen prey to my laptop screen and didn't check this on a CRT before posting. I'll meet you halfway about the tattoo though, I think it's an AWESOME idea but I like the broken heart arrow... the jagged edges work like barbs, so the arrow goes in easy enough but hurts a thousand times more coming back out. [/bitter] ;)

Masque: And I love you too, my bold TD titan. You're right, that's likely not an SBD, but I promise you it's anything but demure. The moment you can comfortably fart in front of your s/o... that's how you know it's true love.

Chupacabra: Thanks hon :)

DS: Thank you so much! Hope you're staying warm and reasonably sane back east, heard you got snow served...

Poise: Awh girl, as much as I know you want to crack some skulls, there's no need for violence. We're women, passive aggressiveness and manipulation are our specialties. Thanks for the support, I was hoping you'd get a kick out of this.

Yumiko: Aaaah, the paradox! Still, I argue the pain factor of a broken heart arrow head cutting through flesh. *hugs back* Good call about the puffy paints btw! That's just a few filters away from becoming a reality...

Thank you guys for humoring me ;)

You'll be all right, Steph. It was not your true love, a true love is waiting to happen... soon. Impossible not to love such a sweet heart, like yours.
warmest hugs to you and love.
As I already wrote, I love your sincere creation. It's very witty too. You can think anything you want but your emotions helped you to open up so much, in my opinion. Recently your art is getting to be so powerfully involving and expressive, that's something like miracle to watch. Communication is great, very open, very touching. I saved all treasures you showed us girls. I saved this one too.
make yourself happy today, OK? treat yourself with something great! You are loved by many.

Steph, you made my Valentine's with this. This is all sorts of wonderful. So bitter, yet so hilarious.

The subtle bits of shading add a ton to the papercut style you've been working with lately. The paper is extremely convincing. I knew it was digital and I still had to look closely just to make sure. I love how there are little miscuts and crooked edges here and there.

Ah, Steph! I already told you that I love this. The expression on the face is hilarious.
I too had to take a second look--the paper effect looks so realistic. I was especially studying that marker effect. I don't know how you did it, but you got it right on.

Much love and hugs :)

I love it, the expression in her face is just priceless, and you're getting really good with this "paper cut" technique.

I can absolutely see this as a card which when you open it lets out a wee and almost cute "pffôô" in the same fashion as the singing cards. :)
One tiny winsy crit though; I think you can play with the shadow a bit making them a bit irregular like real paper that sometimes is closer to the underlying layer, depending how the paper is glued or bent. The illusion is already convincing but you could fool everyone with a slight touch up.

P.S.: Love the Gavroche hat!
