I won't be suprised if im directed somewhere for this, and i'm sure you guys are sick to the teeth with wacom questions, BUT.

I bought a second hand a4 Wacom Intuos 1 due to it being the cheapest option (i aint made o moneys), it plugs in and recognizes the pen etc, except im having trouble with software, i cant seem to find what i need to run it. Ive downloaded the most recent drivers, but it doesnt seem to be the only thing it needs.
Has anyone been in this situation or does anyone know how to solve it?

Your problem is a little vague, can you elaborate?

Are you downloading the Intuos 1 drivers or the other Intuos drivers?

Newer drivers for the Wacoms will not always overwrite the older ones, so if you install a new tablet, the driver will try to "update" the previous version.
Its not always a good thing when you are upgrading tablets or switching between them.
It depends on the OS you are running; if you are running Windows 98, NT, 2000-shoot it in the back of the head-cant help you there, XP home & pro just uninstall the drivers and all its components, reboot the computer and then reinstall the driver and tablet features again. If you are using a Mac, Im not the one to ask.
other place to look and ask www.wacom.com/support
or http://www.wacom-europe.com/forum/default.asp?lang=uk
