So my Reel is set and all my art pieces are in order including the DVD cover, but my list seems to be pretty thin on employers who tend to hire graduates... If anyone knows of any companies that tend to give decent looks at graduate BFA degrees please list a website, address or contact info so I can mail my portfolio to them...I would really appreciate this a ton! Even if the deadline for submissions is past or they are not looking to hire as of now.... Right now my list is about 35 jobs but I have 250 DVDs....help me give them good homes!:yayca: :teeth:

Research. Most companies have submission and job info on their websites. Remember, Google is your friend!

You also haven't told us what you want to do or even what industry you're looking at.

I assume you're looking at the games industry, and if so this might help. http://www.gamedevmap.com/

thanks Okelvin, I guess I want to go for a concept artist job more than anything....but I want to aim high....not freelance right from the beginning, thats why I'm looking for companies that will simply move me to the next project when another project is finished...

Since youre right out of school, you should be looking for any job you can find that is even remotely art based.

imo.

agreed......I want to make sure I go in shooting for what I want but still be able to take the low end barely art jobs...

Do you know anybody in the industry? Network as much as you can... it will be invaluable. It pays for them to give you a second look if they have people they know saying you're good and can do the job.

I suggest the next CA workshop for it. If you can possibly swing it, do so. Live off KD and frozen waffles for a while if you have to, but it is SO worth it. I got my job as a direct result of people I met at the '05 SF Workshop.
