Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (www.fordifp.net)
Applicants must be resident nationals or residents of an eligible IFP country or territory. Currently, these are: Brazil, Chile, China, Egypt, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, and Vietnam. Has anybody advice for international student loans? I'm from belgium and I need a loan to get into art center. I looked at some sites but most of them need a co signer that lived in the US for 2 years. I have a co signer but not somebody that lives in the US.
What should do?

I am in a similar situation like you. Yesterday I did a campus tour at Ringling and am pretty confident with the program - but not being a us-citizen and without my parents being able to finance this, there is only a small chance to apply. Especially with Student Loans not being available in Germany per se! I too would have to take a loan with an american Co-Signer and with the high tuition that is quite a favor asked...

My "solution" to this is as simple as it is disappointing: i keep looking for scholarships, try to accumulate a couple thereof and work for the next two years. Then maybe with an additional Credit of some form, I can study abroad. Sucks, but dedication always pays back :)

The scholarship is restricted to schools in the US states of Washington and Alaska, but it is open to international students.
