if people will want to contact you it will come in handy.

DEADLINE
SUNDAY, APRIL 15
The way the deadline works: if deadline is on a Sunday and your image is posted on that Sunday 23:59 your local time it's a good entry.
In fact - as long there is Sunday somewhere on the planet your entry is ok. I will make the poll sometimes Monday afternoon my time (GMT +2) yet i'll have a look at the last entries.

NOTES:
i kindly ask you to consider upploading your 3d files to the website along with the render.
the ideea is - we can use the models for other activities - texture challnege, light & shader, animation, etc
This is optional!
For the Sculptors:
If you want you can send the sculpt to the artist who did the ortho. I ma sure they will be so happy to see touch their concept for the 1st time.
It will motivate a lot of people to submit concepts and it will help up all along in the long run. Again.. this is optional!

Wawoo, dam i need practice doing stuff from orthography, it takes sooo long :s
i chose to use hurricane's concept because i really want to rig it, and learn about rigging using it as it is a weird layout 8)
thanks for the fantastic concept btw!.. it just needs back legs + feet, they are gonna be tricky :$
Edit - forgot my current progress :s..

i was wondering, on hurricanes piece. how are people dealing with its z-depth as in, its length as it is so wide, yet mine is really really short currently, i think i will make the growth on its back obscene or something.
On my posted picture for example (i haven't done much more at all :s) the ribs dont go very far back, i think i will stretch them backwards to give a nicer total cubic look ;s..

Great job Shivmoo. I like where you are going with this.
I need to try doing computer modeling someday, but for now I'll stick with clay.
I'll be doing the one from Wagon as soon as I get free time.
I should have the armature ready this week though.

awesome, thanks man!... i haven't done much (well any) more since my initial spurt, gonna go at it now... stupid world of warcraft eating up my time, i am only gonna play that when friends are on :P <<< 5:05
Blimey, that back bit is insane :D
well i had more done than i remember :s, the eye like things and the bit between was done.. at some point :lens:
well enough blibber blabber, i have stopped because i think the um, well i am gonna call them eyes. don't look right, they don't have the same effect that the concept has and i cant figure out why..

New here! :)
I was just browsing conceptart.org when I found out about these very cool challenges. I just can't pass this one by! Besides, I need a new project to improve my modeling skills. :}
I don't know which concept to go with as they're all awesome. Right now I'm leaning towards Hurricane's concept. Very powerful looking guy. I think it would be fun modeling this monster of a guy. :)

Great progress so far man!
I am still in, though work, school and other maters seem to overwhelm me a bit. I roughed in the hands and legs of Wagon's design. Still need to do the torso and start refining. I'll probably have something to post this weekend.
Keep on rocking guys!

ive gone for a bit of a longer creature :P.. i dunno, we will have to see which shape looks better at the end :D
what are you gonna do for the feet and legs at the back as they are very roughed out, i guess that gives us creative freedom on the front? :P

man i feel stupid, mouse bust (main button screwed up so doesn't click, and the feet are dragging everywhere now :s) , so i am currently waiting for a new 1 to arrive.
Till then i am using my mums mouse, and its the smallest mouse i have ever seen lol.. Good for about 10 minutes of use then my hand cripples up :(
Wonderful start Sho-Ryu-Ken Your face has sooo much more character than mine, Wonderful.
like an intelligent death machine :P
- - - -please someone read this :s.. -- - I am using xsi 5
Ok so, i temporarily fixed my mouse, and started working on my thing again... (finally :( )... Started on the hands was going fine, then i noticed that all of my polygons had been duplicated in the same place :s... so i have 2 models in 1... or something ;(..
I need an automatic fix of some kind - short of clicking 4000 points to weld them.. i am gonna have a look through menus to see if i can find a way, thanks if anyone helps in advance!
--- edit new, Ok. its fixed for now! :P... was a horrible horrible fix and i hope i never do that again! (at least 6 program melt downs :()- I also found out what i did, i accidentally copied and pasted the entire model onto itself, and then blended it to itself... :s
And with that beast fixed.. .its time to sleep lol - will work on it sunday, various shindigs to go to till then :(
