I'm finally at a point where I can let go of this one. It's been tough finding time to finish it since the last insomania workshop.

I learned so much from doing this, from working my values and proportions to working with my brushes in photoshop.

this started with 3-20min sessions at the insomania workshop in SF.
I took some photos as reference and have been tooling away at it whenever I can get a chance.

it's the first time i've started anything from live models straight into the computer. it doesn't replace working
on a large canvas/paper. What was great was the ability to throw down some values, add color quickly and then use photoshops
photo manipulation tools to get proportion and the right color balance down. there's quite a bit of flexibility. Where I spent the most time
was detailing at the end. There are some portions where I think I lost the nice loose initial gestures from the earlier pieces.

there are definately some areas that could use some tweaking still, but I'm getting to a point where I don't want to tinker with it too much and really overwork it.

It was definately a process of switching between photo editing mode and painting mode. all in all, i'm happy with the piece.

enjoy

In my opinion the step before the last looks much better for colors and values. You also had some nice textures in the background which you seemed to sort of "flatten" or chunk out in the last step.
