Hiya, I'm new to CA and this is my first post. I think all of you are amazing and extremely inspiring. Keep up the good work!

Alright, so on with my question. I can draw anything basic- animals, people, buildings, today's technology such as cars.
My problem is that I can't come up with my own technology such as something like space ships or futuristic concepts. Every time I try it comes out looking like a block with attachments. D: I also can't draw tecnhology-based environments.

So, my question for those of you who are good at it- where do you get your inspiration? how do you start out drawing it? are there any tutorials or anything around?

Or is this just something that you have to do a lot of to get used to it? I know some 16 year olds like me who can draw technology 1000x times better than me, and they've only been doing it for half a year.

Practicing lots of silhouette thumbnails might help you become less blocky.
