hi, i'm in my final year of high school.. finally. Now to the point...

I think i have what it takes to be a concept artist.

http://www.myspace.com/58229428

above is the link to my myspace page, it has some stuff that ive done.

everything that i draw is out of my imagination, i never copy stuff... i respect other peoples works. I observe life and the human anatomy to get a better idea.

i have never been to an art school so ive pretty much just taught myself. And thats why i think maybe going to an art school might be good.. i dunno

im just lost.

I just looked at your art, and I'm very impressed by what you've learned on your own. I'm the Director of Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto and I've seen a lot of portfolios from high school students.

I would be very happy to receive an application from you and hope that you'll look at our website (www.maxthemutt.com) and give it some thought. We are a top school with an outstanding faculty, small classes, a work ethic and stress on professionalism. Our tuition is much, much lower than US or Canadian rates for US students.

Although you show great promise, you do need to attend an art school that will teach you more about the language of traditional representational art , and then help you to apply that knowledge to computer programs like photoshop and Maya.
If you study animation you will need to learn classical animation before computer animation. Our website is very complete. If you want to speak to Van Olson (Admissions Director) or myself, you can call us toll free at 1-877-486-MUTT or email admissions@maxthemutt.com.

Good luck! You have talent and taste. If you are also open to learning and are hardworking you will do very well.

I took the school's 1st year visual arts literacy course just last year. I've been drawing myself for many years but I found they gave me a great set of tools to continue teaching myself. The life drawing is unbelievable...I don't know any other schools that will give you the same amount of time with a model.

The school is in a fantastic location...it's practically in the heart of the art district in Toronto. In fact, the studio is surrounded by galleries. :)
