This is a character that I drew(penciled and inked) and digitally painted for my Character Design Class. This was my virgin attempt at using photoshop CS2(didn't have to much of a choice considering it was a class assignment) to paint one of my characters. It was scary at first but...I'm starting to enjoy it, as you have probably seen with my "Silver Surfer / Galactus" peice. I still have a weakness with color and shadow..but hopefully soon I can break thru that. Any advice is welcomed.
cheers

good perspective on this one. i'd double check her neck/head positioning, something seems off to me, but i can pin down exactly what it is.

Remember mid tones. You've done a good job mapping out where the light is and where the shadow is but there's no movement between the two. A really easy way to get lighting reference is to just take a picture of yourself with the lighting you want. It make not be exact but it gives you something to build off of so you can see how the light moves across the figure.
