I'd just like to mention that I'm fairly new to this forum, but am hoping to be a very active member and hopefully learn a lot from you lot. Seen a lot of very talanted artists on this board and thought the best possible way to improve is by recieving harsh comments and critiques from the best of the best. I thought I'd start with a brief introduction.
I'm 17 years old, currently in my last year of school. Located in the East part of England and working hard to get into my two top desired unies as of next year. I've always been passionate about art, ever since a little lad, experimenting with pencil and watercolour to start with, then gradually expanding into acrylics, oils, charcoal etc. and most recently sculpture media such as plaster, wires and clay. I've been involved with Photoshop for about 3 years, and 3d softwares like 3d studio max and cinema 4d for just under one year, but which to expand my knowledge with these programs to further enhance my 3d skills. My fav artist is Phil Hale, as you might have seen the influence in my work (although it's not half as amazing as his) and have a great interest in architecture which I wish to pursue as a career later on in my life after graduation. My main inspirations come from visiting various galleries and vintage accessories (yes I love vintage). I try to somewhat show this in my work, but often fail. My other aim is to achieve a certain style, that is uniquely mine and recognisable, but by the looks of it that may take a few more years.
Due to my passion for art, I was set on starting an art group aimed at mainly trad/digital work and mixed media. However, those hopes vanished as a result of my tight schedule and academic life.
Aside from art, I play a lot of Golf (often during the summer since I can't be arsed to play during winter) as part of the Junior Team in my region and do a lot of running, both cross country and sprinting and normally take part in annual athletics events. I am a sceptic in my own right and thereby do not believe in theism or any other religious beliefs. I'm also a deontologist and which all governments would develop this as the norm of their political decisions and actions.
That was my brief introduction. I'll see if I can post some work.
