designboot - great to hear man
chrishly - thanks bro
alright here is a sketch I spent a while on yesterday. I scanned it in and realized that it was pretty screwed up - the way the orc's arm was crushed in behind the satyr really flattened the image, so I made a couple adjustments and I think its at least somewhat better now. Also I made a digital sketch of this concept, something I dont normally do because I have only a super cruddy 4x5 graphire tablet. But drawing digitally gives you so much freedom to use a bunch of layers and to scale and add to the image. (The first drawing is on 4 pieces of copy paper taped together btw.) So I was wondering, should I get an Intuos 3? Please tell me if you guys think that would make a difference. Thanks for reading this, feel free to crit anything.

Something about your drawing style just rules. I'm subscribing to this one. And the girls are sexy. Love the boobs flopping around. Why don't boobs flop around more in comic books? make us a comic book Achadobu!

February 7th, 2007, 07:06 PM
zombie dla - thanks! ill try to keep posting...
spudstudios - thanyou. you hit the nail on the head about the colors, I know I need to work on that alot. Regarding the "jiggly appendages" you mentioned, I only seek to record the effects of gravity upon elastic tissue with whatever small fidelity I can manage. just kidding, i like floppy boobs.
ben olson - right back at you Ben. I absolutely love your suffering designs, when I saw that game I was immediately impressed by the creatures. I am honored that you subscribed to my humble thread, and I will try to live up to that. comics are great, but what I really want is to be a concept artist, since I want to be part of a team and not drawing in solitary confinement all day, plus I like coming up with new concepts better than drawing the same characters repeatedly. But I have done a little comics suff. maybe I will post it, but its pretty old...
Here is some new stuff. A "battle of nymphs and ogres" or something, kind of a free form jazz odyssey of drawing where I just put on the Allman brothers and draw whatever. Its on 5 sheets of copy paper taped. plus one more quick sketch for y'all. I know I have to work on color though (thanks for pointing that out spud) so Im going to try to cut back a bit on the drawing fest and do some character paintings. If you guys have any pointers that would be appreciated. cheers.

Jake - thanks for stopping by Jake. that is a huge compliment that you saved my sketches.
kuNiva - thankyou!
For everyone, Ill just say that I appreciate all your comments, thanks for keeping me motivated. Ill be posting some more finished stuff soon hopefully.
I was looking at Barontieri's open canvas sketches on his site (very cool. I would recomend downloading them), and I thought I would give OC a try. So here are a couple rough sketches. I saved the event files so you can watch the process if you want, but you will need open canvas 4 to view them. (it has a free 30 day trial you can download). Im not sure if they will work so let me know.

Blaz - thankyou very much!
mrgrumble - thanks for stopping by man, glad you like the characters. I checked out your sketchbook - some very cool creatures you have there and awesome paintings. It would be great to sketch in open canvas sometime, Im not sure how to set that up though, so pm me if you want.
rgapfrost -
It's hard to go wrong with monkeys and naked girls! Truer words were never spoken! But Ill admit that this is a theme I like. I find the contrast in characters interesting. And thanks for the kind words, they mean alot to me.
kawakaze - Thanks very much for the kind remarks! It is especially encouraging that you like the paints - just as you said I want to bring my characters to life..
sorry I havent updated in a while, I was trying to get something finished to post but I ended up with a bunch of wips... Im pretty slow at painting compared to drawing.
These characters were drawn directly in painter and colored opaquely, mostly with oil pastel. I would be interested to know if y'all prefer this technique or the more transparent technique (the first couple characters in the thread) which was mostly digital watercolor. Any crits are welcome of course.

GOBLINSHARK- You made me laugh there man with your oooouh yeahs. I just looked at your sketchbook a bit - very cool. Ill be checking back for sure. And dont hesitate to level your crits, I can use all the help I can get.
Dougbot- Thanks man, that really means alot coming from you. You made my day.
Newfangled- Thanks very much bro, and welcome to CA.
j a k e- Jake you are very modest and generous. well I guess we can both be awesome, how about that?
dan liimatta- thanks for the stars dan, I really appreciate that. im diggin your sb too.
bhanu- You saved all the pics? wow, thanks bhanu!!!
Haxxxor- Thanks for dropping by Haxxor. Yes, that one is kind of interesting isn't it? I don't know what it means really, but it seems to have some sort of power.
Jove- Thanks very much Jove!
spudstudios- oh sure, i got that spud, no problem. My reply was meant to be toungue in cheek I guess, but that doesnt always translate online. Sometimes I like to write in the guise of a 19th century Victorian gentleman. Glad you stopped by.
donalfall- Thanks for the kind words! to me comics are hard work, concept art is fun. maybe im just lazy.
hito- Thankyou Hito.
brianhammer- well I dont feel so bad for that baby. Although its purchase is somewhat precarious, I feel that, considering the strength of devotion that the supple globe to which he his attatched could not fail to inspire, the baby will have no trouble in maintaining its grasp. thanks brian!
carnifex- that's great man -multi figure pages are fun! better yet get out some tape, add pages, and just keep going!
Thanks for the replys guys! It truly means alot to me. I haven't checked on the thread in a while, and I was surprised to see so many. Ill try to update more frequently in the future, or do you guys prefer massive updates?
I have a couple paint wips and some drawings, a few sps, and sketches.
Im using pretty much just oil pastel for the paints and painting on one layer ...having a hard time maintaning hard edges and contours though. is there a good brush for hard edges, or am I just painting wrongly?

February 28th, 2007, 08:52 PM
i donīt know who gave you the the four stars , but iīm sure it was becuase they got a callapse after comparing your sketches whith theirs :D.
he guys this is a SKETCHBOOK and a sketchbook includes sketches , and this sketches are some of the best iīve seen, real masterstudies to me. just looking at them i KNOW you will be one of those TOP artists. so thatīs why your sketchbook needs more attention. 5 from me.
ok i found some logic thing you might know yourself . if you get better with colours and put your NUDE figures more clothes on theyīll be looking ace.
but i rather guess you want to reach a level thereīs nothing to crit on your bodies , a level you can do every perspective you want and so on. and judging by the practices you do is see in some sketches, you will come to that point with no worry . thatīs why maybe you also could do soem small thumbs or quick sketches from modeling magazines , just buy the way and your clothes will improve at the same time.
hard to give crits becaus eyou know what your doing , but i try my best;)
just a question where did you learn this figures from , a special book itīs not hogart isnīt it?
oh and i like your tits!
the painting of the head and the girl are looking great

Sirio_Brozzi - thanks!, glad to have you here mate.
OBX- thanks for the kind words!
Call0ps- you see improvement? that's great. thanks.
Haxxxor - thanks Haxxxor, will do.
GOBLINSHARK- Thanks goblin, I appreciate your support. and that is a very good crit. I have to work on costumes, you are 100% right about that. characters can't always be naked, that is kind of ridiculous. I'll definately work on it.
Now lets see where did I put my copy of the necronomicon?. just kidding I have no special books. The best books on drawing I have found are probably dynamic figure drawing by Hogarth, and drawing lessons from the great masters by robert Hale. even something like drawing the marvel way is a good book. (im a john Buscema fan.) well all the books generally say the same thing... Maybe I should ask you, do you have any special books? Your drawings kick ass man.
Dan Valkar- Thanks Dan! glad you like the sb.
jozulus- Thankyou!
j a k e- thanks jake. yes they are sps, I was inspired by your sb actually- you are the sp king!

Very nice work. You have a unique style to your work. Very creative with the concepts. Small crit, some of your anatomy are a bit off. Ankles too thin, arms too long and body too lumpy. Not a biggie I'm sure you'll surpass all that very quickly. Keep these wonderful concepts coming!!

March 8th, 2007, 03:54 AM
your digital stuff is great, except for the second one (the girl). and the pencil work is good, there are still some anatomy problems as darkchild said, but they will be fixed in time. really love this girl..:)

phobophile- thanks and welcome to my zany thread!
spencer- hey spencer, glad to have you aboard.
call0ps- thanks bro.
mrgrumble- yeah that painter is a real sob, we should gang up on him. Ill throw a bag over his head and you punch him in the gut.
darkchild- Hey Darkchild, thanks for stopping by. I dont believe in a strict cannon of proportions. I mean look around- everyones different, I think very few people fit the proportions of the vitruvian man or the doryphorus. just an example - terell owens - that dude has some long arms. I also realize that a lot of my characters are beyond the realm of possiblity but I like playing w proportions. Im not seeing the thin ankles thing (if anything I would go thinner.) I always appreciate crits even if I dont agree totally, so thanks man.
j a k e- thanks jake, always glad to see you here mate.
Machu Picchu- I know I need to work on painting since Ive barely done much of this, but I have definitely put alot of time into anatomy and Im not specifically working on that at the moment. I know its not perfect but...which one do you like the flying girl or the pissing girl?
I just did a couple sketches in my moleskine so I thought I would post them up. Wow that paper is miraculous. The line quality is about twice as good and the tone is about 10 times better than copy paper. Its pretty unusual to be good at both of these things I have found. I normally dont like rendering, but on moleskine its fun and surprisingly fast too. theres only one drawback. why is it so small? how am I supposed to draw on 8 x 4" sheets? this is probably good for leprachauns, watchmakers, and microsurgeons but i find it a little cramped. (these are bigger than actual size.) If anyone knows of a paper that is like moleskine but bigger I would appreciate a heads up. Oh and I also threw a few costumes on a couple of these characters as per goblinshark's suggestions.
Achadobu
March 8th, 2007, 06:57 AM
darkchild and Machu picchu- I thought it over a bit and you're probably right. my figures are based as much on michelangelo and bernini as they are on reailty- ive done almost no life drawing so yeah they look a little unatural I guess. now is this my idiosyncratic style or something I need to rectify? im not sure, and I still think I have bigger things to work on than this but I will keep it in mind for sure. so thanks guys. mea culpa.

NICE UPDATE!
love everything, espacially your painting style is great.
nice studies! my only crit are the hands in your selfportraits, the fingers look like they have no bones.
anyways nothing to crit just keep it up.
thank you for the comment in my sb but can you explain "in terms of subject matter" more to me, i didn't understood it completly. (bad english ^^)
greetings
darkchild
March 8th, 2007, 01:31 PM
No problem. Like I mentioned that was a small crit, you have your own unique style developing and I don't want to change that:) If you were going for actual life studies and accuracy then you'd want to watch some of your proportions. But I'm really enjoying whats going on in you SB.
For paper like Moleskine you may try Strathmore Bristol Smooth surface. They come in a variety of sizes all the way to 14x17 and larger I believe. I just started using the stuff and it's freaking awesome. The Moleskines have a relatively smooth surface but I chose to use the Vellum surface for more "tooth". Dry media reacts a bit better (for me) on it. I currently use 11x14 size which is large enough to draw comfortably and portable enough for a backpack. Plus the paper is 100lb stock as compared to 24lb stock of regular printer paper, so it's really thick stuff. The even better aspect is that if you work with pencils you can erase over and over and the surface is not destroyed. Inks and watercolors will hold very well to it. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

designboot- thanks man, I appreciate that!
Flesheater- thanks very much for the stars! very nice of you.
carnifex- thanks bro - it may look easy now but it wasn't easy to get to this point, I can tell you that.
Haxxor- hey Haxxxor, good to hear from you. believe it or not, my hand actually does look like that when I draw. I hold the pencil kind of weird...
and to explain what I meant - I was talking about the things you draw. try to branch out a bit more - draw your dreams, fantasies, anything that pops into your head. anyway like I said, you have a nice sb going so keep it up mate!
darkchild- thanks darkchild, we're cool and I appreciate your crits... as for bristol, yeah ive tried that - maybe im the only guy out there who doesn't like bristol but I find the smooth too smooth, floppy, and glossy and the vellum too rough. plus I probably draw to much to afford this. you know when you've got this nice paper and theres all this pressure to make a masterpiece? I prefer something that I can destroy and not feel too bad about. but maybe I will give it another try sometime (Ill have to gather my courage). thanks for the suggestion.
okay here is some more microsurgery for you guys. that was fun but Ive gotta stop cause my hand is cramping up. ive got an idea though - im gonna get a 10 x 7.5 moleskine cahier which is their biggest size and unbind it, which will give me 10 x 15 sheets. thats a pretty good size and there's always tape - crazy, but it works.
to whoever gave me the 1 - that wasn't very nice. what did I do, run over your dog? you could at least have the guts to give a reason...

very nice updates since my last visit in here
like this one , especially the more definded upper head.
http://conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104648&stc=1&d=1173312263
on this one the nipples are a bit too much in the middle for my taste , i woul dput them a 3/4 nipple size more down maybe.
http://conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104651&stc=1&d=1173312420
although you always draw nice tits :D
very interesting are your self portraits , everything looks drawn much different but still looking the same , very good stuff!
.. your head studies really kicked my butt yesterday. the´re so precise. damn!
hehe great i also have the marvel way drawing book , it´s very good. after hogarths books there came the marvel way stuff.
oh and not to forget that this posing and perspective of the girl really impressed me

mrgrumble- thanks very much!
carnifex- thanks man. sometimes when I start drawing there is no reason to stop until I get to the edge of the page...I want some infinite paper!
liam.c- much appreciated!!!
GOBLINSHARK- thanks for stopping by mate. glad you like the sketches. youre right those nips are a little wierd but I like em.
okay here are a few sketches. i like the moleskine but its really too small... about two years ago I strained my hand doing a lot of detailed inking and I couldnt draw again for six months. so be careful guys. I did order the big moleskine but it was delayed because of a "train derailment" so im switching back to good ol' copy paper for now. skulls and hands from ref. Ive done some other stuff too, but Im going to try to finish it a bit more before posting.

some GOBLIN told me this is a hot thread and jeeeeeeeeez, it really is.Accurate anatomy, wild imagination and nice soft rendering...this one of those crazy sketchbooks i really enjoy looking at.I'll be back for more....here are some stars to keep ya going.Only crit, the subjects, i know human anatomy can keep you busy for centuries, but try and draw different subjects like animals and mech design once in a while...just to give your brain some varied stimulation.
But apart from that...man, you're really good at what you do.

Hey the last update is impressive
The first painting... as is saw the sketch I hoped you will do a colour version.
I like the values but it seems that the colours are not "connected" to each other... can't say it better but I hope you know what I mean.
The sketch looks fantastic, nice perspective. You made it just right... human in perspective is difficult but you drew more at the same time.
... yeah I dig it very much and I'm looking forward to see it as a final Painting.
Keep on it... you made me a fan of your work.
Tomorrow I will update my Sb if you want you are invited to take a look at it :)

bumskee- hey Im glad you dropped by mate! Thanks!!
Call0ps- Thanks bro, Im going to try to update at least once a week. ( I was going to post stuff a few days ago but pc crashed... had to reinstall & rescan everything.)
TheGnoll- Thanks gnoll, I appreciate your kind words!! You are right that I get a little carried away with figures sometimes (ok most of the time.) Good idea about mechs and animals- I'll try that.
spudstudios- Thanks spud, Ill do my best!
tensai- Thanks Tensai, that means alot. your sb is rockin bro!
Crash- Thanks Crash! gotta have boobage...
GOBLINSHARK- Hey Goblin, always glad to see you here comrade! Those notes are for planes, bones, muscles - just little things I try to identify and (hopefully) remember. Clothed girls are a rarity here aren't they? have to work on that. Actually the girl is (supposed to be) lady sovereign. she's cheeky... and you gotta love that stupid line (you look like the vicar of Dibley on crack). goals hmmm... how about money, girls and cars? (been listening to too much Skynrd.) Actually, I would be happy to make a few finished paintings at this point.
Fishspawn- Thanks Fishspawn! Good call. I'm going to try to change things up a bit...
maxetormer- Thanks man, that is much appreciated!!! Ha- I want to eat your brains too! - you have a sweet ass sb man.<3
Haxxxor- Thanks Haxxor, glad you stopped by. You are right about the colors bro ( Elwell called me on the same thing.)

i'm curious where you're coming from man. i don't mean NY or moscow or mumbai but how did you start drawing, you're in school? learning by yourself - and what do you want to do etc. ?

this is unbelievable :D i'm loving each and every one of those new pieces. the life pulsating in them, the dynamics, the perspective. every aspect of those pics is perfect! i'm off to learn my perspective properly now, cause this fuckin rocks my socks off!
you have no idea what an inspiration you are...your place amongst my favourite sketchbooks is well-earned.
the only minor crit i can find is to vary the faces abit more to cause more individuals, but that may be the lack of pupils in some cases.

I have one question... are you crazy!!?
Your drawings rock my world mate... a big inspiration.
Can't really give crit on your drawings because your lines are badass, perspective is good and your figures own them all. :D
For what did you do this drawings especially these battlescenes?
You draw really a lot, are these drawings from the days between your posts?
Where did you learn the great anatomy for your figures your girls looking really good.
Do you use ref?
Ok this is enough...
Thank you for showing us your great drawings hehe.
Keep at it you are my fav sketchbook here on ca.

Solid lines!!! Incredible quality and firm designs.
While your figures are great, they all seems to fall apart when you paint. Make sure to watch your scale in terms of values.
A good exercise is for you to start rendering your drawings. Do a full gray scale study and make sure you hit the key tones.... white, mid-grey, dark-grey, and black.
Regardless, you are definitely going in the right direction. It's only a matter of time and determination before you will become a heavy hitter like Marko. For real.
Cheers,
-Jason-

DUDE! wtf! how the hell can you draw like that?
do you do any prelims before you place your final line and erase them?
it seems like you can judge the perspective and foreshortening very accurately with only one line. amazing.

Wow- you have a -beautiful- sense of line and form. I've been having a lot of problems with light and muscle lately, and looking at your work has really inspired me to investigate further.
Your creature designs are so wonderful, each looking as though they could actually exist, with their muscle structure and build. Your ladies are lovely, as well, but I'd love to see as much variation amongst them as your male-gender characters. :D Wonderful!

Call0ps- Thanks my man!!! - all that perspective is a challenge, no doubt about it.
Tensai- Thanks bro, glad to see you here. I did go a little nuts with all the figures last time... sorry for making everyone dizzy! To answer your questions - I just like to draw. I'm self taught. what I want is to get paid to draw. that would be cool.
Carnifex- overwhelming praise indeed my friend! Thanks! I am working on those faces, hopefully I will be able to add more character soon.
Mr-Joe- Thanks man! glad you subscribed. whatever I have learned of anatomy (there's always more to learn) has come from alot of practice and alot of observation. and from books too. I have 2 good anatomy books - artistic anatomy by richer and human anatomy by goldfinger. I use mainly richer, and goldfinger if I need extra detail. Leonardo has some very cool anatomy drawings, and also Vesalius.
mrgrumble- Its always a pleasure to hear from you Timmy!! A comic, yeah that might be fun. scary too though.
TheGnoll- Thanks man!! computer on weed, I like that. (I dont take drugs though. heh.) Thanks for subscribing! I rendered out some battle scenes a little, but Im still working on it...
B-nine- Thankyou B-nine! glad you like all this craziness!
Jackwhat- Thanks man! Yeah Loomis, I know exactly what you are talking about- that page with the dock and the rowboats, and the house on the cliff... pretty much says it all. (Its from "successful drawing" I think. the whole book is online somewhere if anyone is interested. just search google.) and keep your chin up bro!
Sirio_Brozzi- Hey Sirio! glad to hear from you mate. Copious thanks!!!
MattGamer- Thanks very much!!! You're right- persective is a little more work but it does pay off in the end. and Im not sure if this is what you meant, but I do enjoy drawing more. (than painting)
Dan Valkar- Thanks bro! much appreciated!!!
GOBLINSHARK- Goblin my man! If im a genius, you're a genius. seriously, you have some wicked perspectives in your sb. ... That one you like is probably my favorite as well. I did change that dude's hair (actually those were the ubiquitous "head spikes" im so fond of). He's here if you can find him. good crit on the chests. Im going to keep that one in mind. Thanks!!!
CamiloDragon- Thanks very much Camilo!! Im glad youre inspired, and glad you like the colors too!
Sonaj- Thanks bro, "Quickies" are probably what I do best. If I get in a rythm I can keep cranking em out... but I am trying to work more on values, and to do more finished stuff. oh, and thanks for the stars mate!!
AK86- Thanks man! I agree about the Greeks. They had simple but very powerful and enduring concepts - the cyclops, centaur, minotaur, medusa, etc. pure concept gold.
ronaldK- Thanks very much Ronald!!! workin on those renders...
Haxxxor- I feel it would be imprudent of me to venture a reply to your initial query, since a potential lunatic may not be the best judge of his own sanity, but I shall endeavor to satisfy your subsequent inquiries... 1. The battlescenes are drawn because I like battles. wait that's a bad answer. actually its just a good subject to freestyle with. just to try to get in a rythm and create an interesting multi-figure composition. 2. yes, when im not posting, I be drawin'. 3. First, its a lot of observation- from everyday life, from tv, from artists, etc. pretty much everywhere you look there are figures. But more important is the analysis of what you see. Leonardo said something to the effect of "when I appear to be doing the least, is when I am actually the most busy." that's not an exact quote of course. well, its not italian either. but I think it is very true. (next time you are accused of indolence while camped in front of the tv, you can explain that you are busy "analyzing") 4. when im tryin to learn something, I get whatever ref I can find and do some copies, but when I draw from imagination I never use ref. Thanks for dropping in Haxxxor!!!
Bomba- Wow. I cant even imagine higher praise than that. Im feeling a little dizzy myself now... Thankyou Bomba!!! It is a tremendous honor that you looked at my sb. your work is so inspiring I cant even find the words... Im overwhelmed. I think im going to pass out right now.... :dead:
And I am going to take your advice, and really try to work on my values more before I tackle finished paintings.
Evil_Sloth- Thanks mate!! I dont do elaborate prelims. (maybe I should?) usually just something very simple to mark out the proportions or the masses. If its something I know well, then maybe no prelims at all.
M.A.L.- Thanks very much!! If youre not struggling, then youre probably not learning right?
Sway West- Thanks man! love your sb bro. Ill try to add more variation to the ladies...
drd- Thanks drd! much appreciated!!

Wow. Quite a fantastic eyeful for 3 pages. What stands out to me the most is your line style. The figures have so much energy and life to them. Not a figure is stiff or stuck in any way. If these are out of your head, man, I've alot to do to understand this level of figure invention.
The seated ape has all the line work I find truly inspiring. The arms....NIIICE!

Bradh898- thanks bro!! those metal reflections were something new I was trying, glad you like them.
Carnifex- Thankyou Carnifex my friend!!
Mr-Joe- No prob man. 95% of the time I am using copy paper (A4/ 8.5x11). occasionally 11x17 or legal size copy paper. bristol 11x14 once or twice. and the moleskine which is like 7x9.
Unbreakable- Thanyou very much!!!:teeth: :bounce:
BradWhitlam- Thanks Brad!! The brushes I use are mostly chunky oil pastel, plus grainy water blender. also new simple water sometimes. and the runny blender is cool. the settings are all default I think.
DennisCurrie- Thankyou!!
Razorb- Thanks bro!!
bumskee- Hey man, thanks for stopping by!!!
oma- glad you like! much appreciated.
Chingwa- Thankyou Chingwa!, means alot coming from you man.
Zarquino- Hey man, thanks for your comment!! In the end, I think what I want to do is to bring to life an alternate world, so I am glad you said that.
tensai- thanks mate, glad to see you. you are right about rendering, Im still trying to find a style I like. and Im not feeling too confident about it.
_andreas_- thanks man, glad you like it!!!
GOBLINSHARK- Hey amigo, good to see you. That Berserk video was sweet. guts is one angry sob. you guys have got me thinking about comics now...
AztcFireFlower- Thankyou for your inspirational words!!! I really feel overwhelmed and humbled by your praise. Its an honor to have an artist of your caliber here.
oalexis- Thankyou, much appreciated!!
Thankyou again everyone!!
Im considering starting a comic with some of these characters. Since I dont feel that I really have the hang of rendering yet, I thought of drawing it in just line. (I want to render someday, but it feels far-off now) I found a new pen which is very thin and works well on copy paper - the pilot hi tec c - and im using that to ink. not sure if I like the results. I usually feel something gets lost in inking. I would like to hear what you guys think. I am going to color some of these too. last 3 pics are from ref. the 3 just prior to the last 3 are drawn in ink directly without pencil, which is kind of fun.

Im considering starting a comic with some of these characters.
i told ya mate!!!!! :)
the inklines work well so far, they capture alot of the features that make them 'you' i feel. you minus well make the pencils light and photocopy em a few times to experiment with ink until you get really confident in how you want to go about it?
if not....you could always go nib! i know that alot of pen nibs are pretty horrendous, but mabye you could look overseas!
i used to order the EE nib from a company called Brause (http://hans.presto.tripod.com/brause.html)...rewally versatile for a tight thin line but also flexible....geek talk there sorry :)
cant wait mate! any hints on the story????? if you ever need someone to read the script i :cough: might be able to find someone!
cheers!

hey man, impressive work as always...i like when u tell a story in ur draws..keep that in mind...i mean its not neccesary to do a sequence drawing to communicate somethin' and i think u achieve that in some of ur sketches(well when i think u wanna say something..tell a tale)and a second advice i think..in my humble opinion that ur shadin' could be better, not so rough...well ii mean if that doesn't the look u want....just to give more real look...by the way awesome work at the armors

Wonderful stuff you've got posted here. If I should mention one thing it is that all your chicks (though drawn amazingly well!!) always seem to have the same expression. And eyes? Anyway just suggestions.
Keep posting ---- and since you ask I prefer less massive more frequent updates.
I know others have said it but I am crazy about your concept ideas!!
Cheers.

The inks look pretty good, I think the ones where you inked right over the pencil look a little better than the very very thin ink only lines.

Your linework is gorgeous, but… boobs and monsters and armor and monsters and boobs and monsters with boobs and monsters in armor and boobed monsters in armor and vagina demons… I see a trend! ;)

This is really impressive. You are as clean and as perfect in your figures that they like like... traced. It's like once you put pencil on paper you know very precisely what are you gonna draw and don't hesitate never.

This is my fav sketchbook on the site! (and its not because of all of the naked women!!!) I almost prefer seeing your half-completed sketches and figures because I love the way you construct them. Everything is so clean and clear. Wish I could so that!
Please keep on updating!

This is awesome. You have such a strong understanding of the human figure, and I love how you're able to just distort it and manipulate proportions and your figures still retain a realistic quality. Nice man.

absolutly awesome stuff man, love the freeness of line and imagination.
i could complain about u not doing enough of anything else, u do some good studies though, anatomy. And ure perspective isnt really to be faultered ...
but then youd probably have less fun. Keep at it dude. Just keep doing what feels fun and natural. Im not gonna complain :) i find it hard enough to have fun drawing and it looks like u enjoy ureself.
Are you a part time artist (hobby), training or do it as a job? youve got quite alot of skill and talent.

Awesome work, man. I would suggest playing around with a black prismacolor pencil. You'll get richer blacks that won't reflect like graphite. Doesn't matter so much on most of the drawings, but on the full-value portraits you did I think it would take them up another notch.

Hah try flipping that mentality. Every time it's revived we get reminded of how great this guy's work is. It makes me wonder if he looks back on it sometimes and chuckles about how enamored so many people are with his work.

Don't think it's going to happen. It's been revived multiple times, I sent him an e-mail once through CA, and I created a thread in the Lounge asking about him. Nobody knows who he is or what happened to him, and his profile says he hasn't even been on the site in two years.
