Hi guys,
Hopefully you understand my question. I'll do my best to explain myself.
I own a portfolio website and with my current hosting package at http://www.ixwebhosting.com/ I can log into my account and see my website statistics. Traffic, current disc-space, etc, etc.
One of the categories is 'Referrer'... which shows where people came from to get to my site as well as websites where my images are being leeched off of my main site.
Unfortunatly the website statistics program only shows the top 30.
I would like to find a program that can record all referrers. Besides being curious about how people find my site, I'm finding that the top 30 is getting dominated by blog/livejournal image reapers, so it's becoming useless to me the way it is. ....But mostly I'm just curious how I'm getting all the hits that I do and where they're coming from.
Thanks for any help.
Ken

You should have all that in you site logs. Your host needs to give you access to this data (ask them politely if why they don't show everything). Or you could try http://www.google.com/analytics/ .

Hi, _Mario!
Thanks very much for the quick response. I really appreciate it.
I tried contacting the help desk at IX to see what their explanation was and they basically just apologized and said that their software is set-up to only show the top 30 :( He then followed that up by saying I could install 3rd party web-analysis software if I was interested.
Thanks for the suggestion about google. I had a look at it an installed on my blogspot (just to try it out)
I'm kinda new to using it, but I assume this is the section where I'll be able to see all of my referrers?

EDIT: I just realized that might sound like a really stupid question. What i mean is there's other places in google analytics where it only shows the top 5. I was wondering if that screenshot showed the section where I would eventually be able to see all of them.
Thanks for your help again! :) :)

You can try - http://haveamint.com/ which is a web statistics tool. It costs money, but I've heard positive things about it. If your site is Wordpress backend, then there is a slim stats plugin which is really good.

I totally forgot the havamint thing. It looks good but costs money (but not much).
I only saw the google thing for a short time for a friends website but it has a lot of data and you need to learn to read and use it because it's a lot of information with a their own 'analytics language'. I am not sure but I think it only shows the data from the point on when you use it (not older stuff).
What I wanted to say: I have no real experience but I have seen that they show a lot (pages) of referrals and tons of other useful data if you are willing to do some data-mining.

Hey guys... I was away for a while. Sorry for the late response.
Thanks again for the all the help. I appreciate it. Unfortunately I don't have the money to change hosting companies or pay for another program. I have too many tiny monthly costs and they're adding up... hahah.
But I'll save this thread and look into it next time I decide to swtich. Thanks everybody ;) I'll stick to google analytics for a bit and see how that works out.
Thanks again!
Ken
