new member here::some sketches... (crit)... :)

hi, i am a new member of this forum, i friend passed the adress, cause i was looking for some good art... and found it here :)

the sketches i am putting heren in this first post, are some i made at work, i had nothing to do, i had a cheap pen in ym hand, and some paper, so, i said let´s draw!.. hehe... the drawings are some of those that just pop in your head... and you start making lines.. i used only a pen, i did not erase a single line, and i did not used gidelines, what you see is what i started with...

i would like some crits ont his... here is the first...

the girl was the consecuence of thinking about contradiction, and irony... a "pretty" face... and an ugly body... or something like that... just wanted to see what it would look like....

i would like to say, i am a Mexican, i hope that does not represent a problem for me to stay here...

and i would also like to ask what kind of chances do you think a 24 year old mexican like me could have at getting a little job doing this?... i mean, cuz i don´t realy see myself in the future doing enything else :D ....

First of all, you being Mexican, has nothing to do with posting here, I am a Gaulic, Native American, Cajun, born-again Pagan, and I can post here. So keep posting.

Next, get some practice, use the comic books for entertainment, and use the works of the old Masters for practice. Then, draw what's in your mind right at the edge of sleep (if you can remember it when you wake up). Cool stuff comes from here.

wow, thankyou guys, for such a welcome... to be honest, i was gettin´kinda disapointed after de first 8 hours of coming back and seeing no replies, hehe :D

well, i just anted to say thanks... and, you´ll be seeing a little more in the days to come, hehe... to clear something anbout those 2 sketches.... well, the thing is, i made them with a cheap pen.. so... i saw the flaws, but couldn´t fix´em... hehe... for a little more info, it took me around 15 minutes to finish the guy, and about another 15 to make what you see in the girl...

i will be posting something more respectable next time.... until then, i´ll c u ´round... :chug:
