About Tablets

I was wondering about tablets. Just, what tablets do you guys generally use? Or which tablets would you suggest to a person who draws frequently, but isn't a proffessional?

I've been looking into buying myself a wacom intuous 6 x 8 tablet, I just don't know if it's a good choice.

it's definitely a good choice.

But, if you're just making that, uh... jump from mouse to tablet, anything is good.

for the money, it's good, just don't let the cord get messed up. And make sure you use all the latest drivers and stuff, or else it turns into an expensive unreliable piece of crap.

What would I need exactly?

I've almost got the cash for it, and I don't want to spend 349 dollars on something that I'll probably hurl at the wall, or into the pool in frustration. Kind of like what I'm about to do to the mouse.

I have had no problems with drives or the cord and I have never done anything particularly different with them. I use to hurl my Graphire pen around... and then it broke and I realize how crappy it was without the tablet.

I got an Intuos 2 6x8 now and you will have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
