I-mac(20') or Pc

ok, i am planning to purcase a computer. which is better i-mac(20') or normal
pc ??? Now i am student studying multimedia design .

Sofeware - 3d max , photoshop , maya , painter , adobe illustrator, lightwave
and adobe primiere .

My budget is around 1500 - 2000 USD .

i don't believe there is a version of 3ds max for mac so unless you are going to run a dual core i would opt for pc so you can run all your software on one machine, the rest should work just fine on either.

The 3d card on the Mac might not be enough depending on how much 3d work you do. I'm guessing you'd be ok though, as a multimedia student. If you're going for the Mac, you could wait a couple of months til they update their OS from Tiger to Leopard.
