Trying to get better at mechanical stuff! Needs compositing with a background but all in good time. Crits please!

The background clashes with the tank itself.
The thing on the bottom of the tank looks transparent and unfinished.

I agree with Candra, Right now, the textures are destroying your good design; it doesn't read too well.

The shape of the left hand side spikey plough, needs some more attention!
I also agree with Candra.
How ever its an all round strong design.

i agree, you could make the forms more readable. one thing that doesnt work is pattern on the tank itself. you can use pattern and cut-lines to your advantage to show form. but your little steel embossed hook texture doesnt change while the plane its uppon does seem to change. change the texture accordingly will help a lot i think.
keep it coming man

yeah it took me a minute to tell which direction we were looking at the tank from - I'd suggest getting rid of that black allover texture you have on it right now and at the very least give the tank a cast shadow to help cement it to the ground it's sitting on. Whatever is there right now isn't doing the job.

Looks good, I'd agree... change the background. My eye is drawn to it instead of the tank itself.

hmm, personally, I think you should try to define the shapes a little more, since as of now, it looks almost like lineart with some random textures dropped over, which steals away soo much of the sense of 3d, since the lineart says its 3d and has a shape like that and this, but the textures however, says its totally flat. the textures takes so much domination and totally 'outbalances' the lineart; add more shading, then apply the textures without overdoing it.
