there are a couple of art schools here in the bay are...one is the academy of art and the other is the art institute...it seems that other people have already created a thread about the academy and i was wondering...comparing the 2 schools, which is better?

it seems that the art institute isn't very popular over here...all my friends are applying to the academy...but through some research i found out that the art institute is affiliated with the parsons new school of design(if anyone is familiar with project runway...its that skool)...which according to some people is a pretty good school...also my eldest brother went to the art institute and my other brother went to parsons in new york...anyways i'd love to hear some of your opinions especially for the people that have attended either one...

it depends on what you are doing. i believe AI is very strong in commercial arts such as graphic design etc etc while the academy is strong on illustration/animation etc.

I've heard strong things of the Academy's graphic program too. Seriously, take a trip and see both schools over a weekend. Both a pretty close to one another. You could see one AI by the Civic Center and hop on a street car to New Montgomery and go on a Academy tour too. I'm sure both have graphic samples on the wall, check them out and judge for yourself!
