Foreground looks good, but I'm not sure about the background. I'm guessing it's a Halo-style ring structure, but it doesn't look very circular. It seems to have only a slight curve at first, then has a strong change of direction near the top.

I did a rough(very) paintover.

- strengthened the warm colours in the FG and the cool colours in the BG.

I experiemented with fading out the bg structures but that didn't work. :P

The colours you chose are nice, just a bit pale all 'round. There are some nice things happening in the guy that I'm looking forward to seeing you finalize.

one thing thuogh...compositionally, my eye goes straight to the guy and sticks there...anyone else find this?

yeah I think that could be solved by making the woman standing beside the guy instead of sitting. Right now she doesn't really stand out.

Also, maybe it would help to make the foreground a bit higher than it is now, although it is a bit tricky with this perspective.

Good luck anyway :)

Compositionally, everything is pointing very strongly upwards, it needs something to stop the eye from flying right off the top of the image.

Maybe putting some sort of bridge in between two of those structures that are shooting upwards? That would give it a nice solid horizontal break.

Or perhaps something more subtle, like having the man looking down towards the woman. As it is, the eye naturally flows to the man and woman, but they are both looking upwards as well so the eye just keeps going.
