Hmm, theres a lot...
I did an overpaint, and these are the main-things i changed:
http://www.duracel.de/stuff/ddforum/overpaint-bellas.jpg
I changed the brightness of the sun to get contrast in this piece. Also i darkened the shadows alot and put bright direct-lit-surfaces especially on the mountains.
But also in the waterfall(most time it looks better if you arrange the composition so that the attractive waterfall is lit up by the sun and did not stand in shadows. ;)).
I changed the colors of clouds - most time in the evening they appear more purple.
I added some far-away mountains/hills to get depth into the picture and made them more bluish.
Also, trees stand as near to the sun as the big one, appear near black and dont have any lit-surfaces.
But the best thing ever is to study light-situations in Real-Life. Its really helpful to compare values especially between sky<->ground or shadow<->light
PS: Sry for my bad english.

i forgot to mentioned, its an interesting picture and not as bad anyway! This picture was attractive enough to me to force my hands to paint over it. ;)
And well, landscapes are one of my obsessions. ;D
And well, pratice is the one thing, but its also very important to "understand" and "know"(especially colors of clouds and sky).
Everytime i see an interesting sky i cannot look away from it .. even while driving in my car *rolleyes*. ^^
*wait for your next try and next and so on* ;)
PS: thx.
